ABOUT SKYRIM: The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim is an open world action role-playing video game developed by Bethesda Game Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It is the fifth main installment in The Elder Scrolls series. The game’s main story revolves around the player’s character, the Dragonborn, on their quest to defeat Alduin the World-Eater, a dragon who is prophesied to destroy the world. The game is set 200 years after the events of Oblivion and takes place in Skyrim, the northernmost province of Tamriel. Over the course of the game, the player completes quests and develops the character by improving skills. The game continues the open-world tradition of its predecessors by allowing the player to travel anywhere in the game world at any time, and to ignore or postpone the main storyline indefinitely.

Whoops forgot to schedule this for noon! Sorry for being 13 minutes late! 😅 And of course, thank you so much for being awesome! 🙂
Lol you did put the cheese in the dragon 🤣 also be sure to draw the bow all the way when you shoot it. It takes a little longer but you'll get a better shot. Great video 🦴
Put ur perk points in smithing then u can craft some good armor..can't wait for the next episode 😁
You can't reset skill points until that skill is maxed
He wants you too, Malachi
So what's happening is Alsduin (the Dragon that "saved" you from your execution in Helgan) is going around to all the Dragon burial sites to resurrect more Dragons. Also you need to "charge" your bow by holding the fire for a couple seconds, then let go so it travels further (this doesn't apply to crossbows) that way it won't just drop in front of you.
35:30 It's actually 10% cooldown reduction i for shouts. It's been saying 0% for 11 years, and it's never been fixed. This also stacks with the Amulet of Talos adding another 10%. Though I've noticed you've been able to repeatedly use the Whirlwind Sprint shout rapidly in a past episode.
Summerset Isle is another country located south west corner of the content of Tamriel. It is just another place the Elder Scroll's universe, like Cyrodiil, Morrowwind, etc, that exist in the lore but you can't actually visit in the game Skyrim. You can visit them in Elder Scrolls Online, except ESO is a prequel so it takes place thousands of years before the events in the game Skyrim (and most all the other games before it).
When an NPC refers to there being "Eight" Divines (gods) they are ignoring Talos as one, and align themselves with the Empire/Dominion, if they refer to all "Nine" Divines, then they acknowledge Talos, and are likely "true nords." Ah it's so funny how politics in a 11 yearold video game can mimic politics in real life. 🦴
Thanks, Liz! For removing perks that you have used, there are two ways:
1. Once a skill gets up to 100, you can make it "Legendary" – this means you get all your points back and the skill goes down to 15. The points you get back you can use on other skills.
2. You are not close to getting to a specific mission where at the end, you can reset one or more skill trees. Episode 83 or so?
For now, if you don't want to use two-handed, just use the perks on other skills. Later on, if you want to move to a two-handed weapon, you could increase those skills.
In terms of Solhokier, he is one of the few named dragons in the game. If you recall what Delphine had said in her basement, Alduin is raising dragons from their ancient burial grounds, which is what you saw happen there.
Some missions will automatically trigger once you get to a certain level. Once you got to Windhelm, the guard foreshadowed the Orc, Durak, asking you about the Dawnguard.
LOL! Maybe Elder Scrolls VI (in 2057?) people will be called "Almond drinkers"!
If you get arrested, and you pay the fine, they will take all your stolen items.
Once you join the Imperials or Stormcloaks, you are starting the "Civil War" questline. There are a lot of implications of doing this quest (like anything – some good, some not as good). Many people are passionate about one side or another. (On a side note, you don't really have to do the Civil War quests). If you wanted, you can take a poll from viewers – Imperials/Stormcloaks/Neither?
Chests in your home do have unlimited storage, but yes – it can get out of hand. I usually have one for smithing materials, one for stolen stuff, one for ingredients (usually near an alchemist table), and so on. If you have multiple homes, it can get even more confusing!
To be able to craft dragon armor, you'll need the dragon armor perk – check in the Smithing tree to see how you can unlock it.
Have fun! ☠🦴🍖
B o n e
You should Not be on the Stormcloaks side, but thats a few hours of lore videos required to explain in detail.
Long story short, Ulfric is doing the Aldmeri Dominion/Thalmor a favor by starting this Civil war. The war going on for as long as possible better for the Thalmor, but if a side should win, for the Thalmors benefit, Stormcloaks should be the victor, as it will somewhat weaken the Empire, and remove Skyrims connection/allience/allegiance to the Empire, which would give the Thalmor free reign to bring about real terror upon Skyrim, without having to worry about breaking any deals they have with the Empire. Empires victory would end the rebellion and potential for weakening the Empire, Skyrims allegiance to the Empire wont be broken, and Thalmor can't Legally commit mass genocide on the people of Skyrim, and yes, this is the Short explanation.
Awesome video! No Bones about it!
"I drink almond milk." I died laughing, so awesome. Love your videos, Liz! 🦴
You won't strike bone unless you pull your arrows all the way back.
☠️
☠️💀🦴 honestly Liz you need to work on the Archery a little, it can be very fun and rewarding, plus very satisfying getting a headshot from very far away. It's a skill that once you know how to make best use of it you'll wonder how you ever done without it. Never gets old hunting deer either, and the slow motion kills are cool too. Have fun, love the video. Glad you found windhelm, some good quests there.
407 comments. It's a lot.
Them dragon BONES are heavy! Good luck lugging them around…. that's what Lydia is for after all. 😉
Bones. Look at more enchantments you might have in your containers they may prove worth while when doing other things. Since you use the necklace for better prices there's others that help with other activities.
Great job, you did not lose any bones in this episode. It’s fun watching your reactions when stuff happens. Keep plugging along.
🍖
🦴
As a player that played many archers. My bones acke watching all those arrows hit the ground.
I know every game and gamer has a learning curve. Good luck.
🦴 Another great episode Liz!!!
Do not become a vampire it's better to become a werewolf.
Damn you've made a lot of progress compared to the other episodes, Nice!!
"We'll take any stolen goods and then you're free to go. After you've payed the fine of course". He's after your potato !!!
Don't join the stormcloaks join the imperial legion
☠ It's easy to forget that the Dragons are actually sentient beasties with a history and culture of their own. During most of their interactions with you, they do nothing but attack you, with a few exceptions when certain Dragons do speak to you. I love the dialogue between Alduin and Sahloknir when the latter is resurrected by the former.
Hi, Liz. (bones) That was smart of you to leave Candlehearth Hall when that woman called you a milk drinker and picked a fight with you, so you didn't hit any bystanders. During my first playthrough, on the way to Whiterun for the first time, I guy picked a fight with me. I stood up to him just like you did. He promptly killed me.
I've got a 🦴to pick with you…
Just kidding, you and everyone reading this, have a wonderful day.
“That’s what you get for calling me a milk drinker! I drink almond milk!” 😂😂 oh dang that got me! Good job showing that Orc who’s boss! 🦴🐉
Very cool episode! If you haven't noticed already, if you release an arrow too early after knocking it in, it won't go far. This is why Sahloknir wasn't being damaged for the most part. Can't wait for next week, have a good one! 🦴
Liz, I've got so many tips, but I'll give you this since I discovered it from watching your videos. If the animals are attacking you, take a side journey up to High Hrothgar again, reading all the etchings on your way up.
I thought you had figured it out then. Reading all ten gives you the active effect called Voice Of The Sky. All animals will remain docile towards you for 24 real hours. It can only be broken by attacking an animal. Vampires will also not attack you for this period, but you can attack them if you want. Trolls are not considered animals and are fair game. Feel free to make bone meal out of them. You can have this perk multiple times in your game play.
Dragon armor is amazing, just take a look at the smithing perks to get an idea of what goal you're setting yourself there. I mean, don't be put off by it but it will be a long task. 🙂 🦴
18:34 you were "storing" your stuff on the dead dragon, corpses are basically meaty chests.
there are ways to reset perks but they aren't easy or quick to unlock. Don't worry about being stuck with the 2h perk for now. It can be corrected but by the time you can correct it, it won't really matter. You can take eggs from the chicken nests and the chickens will be cool with it. Just don't kill a chicken in front of another chicken or you might have another Morthal-type debacle on your hands lol.
(6 mins in) I hope you did keep the Malachite you mined. It's a pretty good material for light armor. Nice Children of the Corn reference. I remember Malachi. He was a dick lol). Good job on the dragon but yeah when using a bow you want to hold a little bit longer. Also the contrast between the dragon charging and trying to intimidate you and you being happy to see Delphine showed to help you, very funny 😂
Dawnguard is worth doing, but yeah, best to wait for a while. It's not something to jump into as soon as you can. Oh wow for as many times as I've played this game, I never had that Windhelm confrontational Orc event happen… but I don't appreciate getting called a milk drinker either lol.
Bones
Resist fire and resist frost potions do come in very handy when fighting dragons, depending in the type. 🙂
Yes you did put the cheese in the dragon. Bones for cheese seems like a fair trade, no? 😉
Mechanically, dead bodies functions as containers. It was hilarious, a move worthy of praise from Sheogorath himself. XD
(I know the name Sheogoarth doesn't mean anything to you right now, but it will eventually.
Also, if you want context for the cheese thing, look up "Shivering Isles meeting Sheogorath". No spoilers in that, since it's from TESIV Oblivion. 🙂 )
FYI You can accept big quest starters like the vampire one, dont need to do it right then. I'm just not sure if the game will give you more opportunities to get the quest.
I think that was the start of the Dawnguard DLC
Edit: just noticed you do have a "Dawnguard" mission on the final screen 🙂
Great Episode again 🙂 Alduin !
You made me start playing again lol, for my 4th? time.. with Anniversary edition.
Just bought a house and will have no internet for days! so needed something to play :>
I always ends up siding against the Stormcloaks just because I don't like how Ulfric doesn't care about anyone who isn't a Nord.
That dragon bone armor is going to look awesome
The only way to respec perk points is if you do the entire Dragonborn expansion questline, level the skill you wanna respec a perk in to 100, and use a special mechanic you get to reset that skill to 15 and refund the perk points spent there. So putting your perk points where you're gonna use them is advisable.
Hey Liz! Little story: My daughter comes over on Tuesdays to do laundry (cheaper than using the apartment complex machines) and since she got her gaming laptop she plays Skyrim while she's here. So this week I made apple cabbage stew and served it with sausage and bread – big hit 🙂Great episode, I learned some things I never knew (people hide in the mines when dragons are near). That's is what I love about the game – it is so deep and rich with detail. Loved what you said at the end: you are having fun and that is what matters. Great attitude, great gamer, great lady!
🦴🦴🦴🦴🦴
Them dragon BONES will be useful later in the game once you decide to rank up all of your smithing… 😉 Oh, and yes, you stored the Cheese on the dead Dragon.
Oh so, you can remove points from your skills; but in order to do so, you'll need to rank it up to 100 first; So you'll have to swing those Two Handed weapons a lot to do so first — That's how it works generally. There is another way (One time use) but honestly it would be harder than getting it to rank 100, at the point you are in the game, IMO. I'd save that for something more late-game-ish.
(2nd comment since I didn't get to watch full video as I was commenting before)
Disenchant is how you learn new enchantment properties. You don't want to disenchant anything you are using or want to keep (like your sword or bow) since anything disenchanted is destroyed, but if you find multiple items with the same properties (fire damage, soul trap etc.), you can disenchant the weaker one or any that you don't plan to use. Doing so will increase your Enchantment skill and unlock whatever that property is to enchant other items with in the future. If you already have a property known and you try to disenchant something else with it, you'll simply get an error message and the item will not be destroyed.
You should also store stuff like Ingots. They have the same function as Dragon BONES💀. The weight will add up and you only need them for Smithing, so if you store them, you can easily get them when you need them. Ore is worth keeping on you since you can smelt/refine it at any Smelter, so you might as well hang onto it, convert to Ingots/Refined when you can, then store those. That's the most efficient weight management for Smithing materials. You can also use gems while making jewelry, but they're purely for aesthetics and item sell value. A silver ring if Enchanted will have the same Enchantment values as a gold diamond ring at the same level of soul stone and Enchantment skill. The only difference will be the appearance the value. That being said, if you're making jewelry to sell, the more expensive stuff is worth considering in that process.
Anything in the books column is a book, so you can even put those notes, bounties, contracts on the bookshelves if you want lol. As for displaying more, there are other houses you can get that have more display options, including mannequins that you can display armor (even full armor sets) on.
If you buy a book called healing hands it will allow you to heal your allies like in the dragon fight when Delphine was down 🙂 30:20 I’m dead bro ☠️
Blades gear will make her strong
I enjoy your videos. Liz. Don't be afraid to use enchantment. It is one of the most useful skills in the game, BONES
Liz: You wanna throws hands?
Orc: Oh I'll give you the hands.
Liz: Oohhhh snap! Starts runnin
Bones!!!! hahaha Not for any backseating but just a tip. When you finish a dungeon/cave, search for a wall with writing and you'll get more power for your shouts! For your bow, be sure to extend your string to the max or else it does less damage. Lastly, Have fun, this is the best thing your awesome and I almost want to restart the game looking at you play. Ho yeah, I forgot, you can dualwield magic now I think. I say you get the skill a couple of episodes back. Check it, it's cool!!!
Bone!! If you want to grab any items around Skyrim to sell, a good rule of thumb is that 1 weight = 10 gold. So if something weighs 10lbs you want it to be above 100 gold to be worth carrying something so heavy around to sell.
