  1. remember when we were forced to stay at home under house arrest for our own health? Seems like 1,000 years ago doesn't it. This strike could have been prevented, same as the nurses strike. Just proves that the government never cared about the coof. They only cared about their mass social experiment in "what can we get away with". Putting army and volunteers to deal with life and death situations simply isn't good enough. Not after the tories stripped away all our civic freedoms under the guise of healthcare safeguarding.

  2. Solidarity with the paramedics and all striking workers across the UK. #EnoughIsEnough of the hardworking people who keep this country running being exploited by the corrupt far-right extremists in this government and the rich leeches who bribe them!

  3. I say if they earn more than a certain amount i.e 30k plus and striking then they should be given their P45, they know people are going to die because of what they're doing and for what…greed!

  4. Its so sad to see a government that wont even negotiate and hide behide apparantly an independant pay body thats never independant and chosen by the government. The UK has really been crippled by the Torys for over 12 years unfortunately the damage they have caused maybe with us for generations.

  5. Thousands of ambulance workers on strike and thousands of nurses on strike. I suspect many of them voted Tory last time thinking that the government actually cared. The reality is the government doesn't care. They have stated they won't even discuss pay.
They state the nurses and ambulances are putting lives at risk. After years of tory austerity measures, cutbacks in services and underfunding, this is now the result. It is this government putting lives at risk.
We have an unelected billionaire prime minister, we have a chancellor who wants to privatise healthcare and tory ministers stonewalling negotiations and blaming the unions. Sunak's answer to the strikers? Don't talk, just change the rules to make striking illegal. What a crap government we now have.

  6. Tories say they can't afford a payrise for the nurses yet their still enjoying the 40%payrise they gave themselves not so long ago and fiddling expenses claims and of course the second homes bought and renovated at the taxpayers expense. They have already decided on their next payrise and a huge increase in their expenses allowance to help them cope with the rising cost of living. As always one rule for them and another one for us .

  7. Bit of background. When Blair took office in 97, the UK population 58 million.
He opened the borders to immigration.
    Population is now 68 million.
Blair had no idea where they would all live or where they would get healthcare.
The NHS can only survive with below inflation rises. There are just too many of them.
There is no sustainable solution to this problem.
Sorry. That's just how it is.
