Sky News at Ten: XL bully protesters rally in London after ban by PM Rishi Sunak

Watch Sky News at Ten as a man was taken to hospital after being bitten by a dog – believed to be an XL bully – just hours before demonstrators gathered in London today to protest against a proposed ban.

The incident at Pasley Park in Southwark, southeast London, comes after a spate of recent attacks involving XL bully dogs, which has led Prime Minister Rishi Sunak to announce plans to ban the animals.

Plus, a murder investigation is under way in Blackpool after a woman was found with “multiple injuries”.

Also, Ukraine’s proposed peace plan as well as the latest UN proposals to revive the Black Sea grain initiative are “not realistic”, Russia’s foreign minister Sergei Lavrov said; British officials have engaged in diplomatic discussions with Kremlin representatives concerning global security.

  1. So the man running our country has decided to totally ignore bad owners and bad practices (cult status among youngsters, gangs, housing estate morons and bad people in general) and just have the dogs killed. Pathetic, cowardly, inconsiderate and detached from reality are just a few words that spring to mind.

  3. Observe the "divide and rule and regulate to death" strategy being displayed by the ruling class. Voters need to take stock and vote them out of office. Surprised to hear that the sewage spills , so common in the 3rd world country where I live, is as bad and even worse in the UK. The West is in decline and the speed at which this happening, is alarming.

  4. Apologies to the residents of Westminster, but can this ‘lovely bunch of folks’ come to London every Saturday? At least that way the other town centres and parks around the country can have a little respite from these lovely people and their cute cuddly pets

  5. Unfortunately, it's a very small fraction of owners and greedy breeders that have let these dogs down badly. The people protesting in London look exactly like the stereotypical ‘bad dog’ owner. Loudmouthed, tattoo’d, bald headed under-educated morons.
