Skip Halloween and Watch John Carpenter's Apocalypse Trilogy Instead

For general audiences, John Carpenter’s always going to be most famous for Halloween. But this spooky season, we’re highlighting Carpenter’s Apocalypse Trilogy: 1982’s The Thing, 1987’s Prince of Darkness, and 1994’s In The Mouth of Madness. Three movies, three very different ends to the world, and one container full of liquid Satan make this an unbeatable marathon for horror fans.

  1. In The Mouth Of Madness is just about as close to an Alan Wake film there is.
The Thing is one of the greatest films ever made. Tarantino did a spin on it with The Hateful Eight, even taking unused music from The Thing to use as the film's score.
