SKEGNESS | A tour of seaside holiday resort Skegness, England

Skegness is a seaside holiday town close to Ingoldmells and Mablethorpe. In this video we will try and film the whole of Skegness seafront in 15 minutes from the beach to the Pleasure Beach, Amusement arcades and the Pier. This holiday destination has been voted worst seaside in the UK. Let’s see if that is true or not.

Skegness, located on the eastern coast of England, has been a popular holiday seaside destination for several reasons:

Sandy Beaches: Skegness boasts long stretches of sandy beaches that attract visitors. The sandy shores provide ample space for relaxation, sunbathing, and building sandcastles, making it an appealing destination for families and beach lovers.

The town has iconic landmarks like the Jolly Fisherman statue, which has become a symbol of Skegness, and the historic Skegness Clock Tower. Visitors can explore the local history at the Skegness Museum or take a trip on the Lincolnshire Coast Light Railway.

  1. We are in skeg vegas next weekend , first time back to skeggy since 2019 and been going since before I was born. I never get why it’s voted the worst seaside place. While it’s probably not the prettiest . It’s still a nice place for a short break or longer stay. At moment my only issues is finding dog friendly places to eat. We have been spoilt with Bridlington over the last couple of years now that’s one super dog friendly destination

  3. I haven't been to Skegness for years. It's been receiving a lot of bad press because of the immigrants being housed in some of the hotels there. It actually looked very clean and pleasant. Many thanks for taking me on a lovely walk around, bought back lots of lovely memories. 😎🌞😎

  5. Voted the worst place by who? Probably people who have never been there ! All on the flat ,so easy to get around for seniors and disabled ,so much going on for Gods sake , o.k . a bit bleak in Winter but everywhere is bleak in winter .Benidorm , Blackpool all get a slagging off by these "people" who ever they are , we never really find where these "people" come from , do we.?

  7. Cannot understand for the life of me why it's voted worst seaside resort.. We've done butlins Skegness for over 30 years and it's a lovely place with lovely people.. Just got back from Torquay.. And yes it's got a beautiful marina.. But its no where near as pleasant as Skegness .. And southern folk are the most unpleasant I have ever experienced.. In my opinion.

  8. I have never been to Skeggy and for it to be voted worst seaside places really depends on your point of view. Got to say it looks to be everything that I dislike about a seaside town but not having been should I say I don’t like it? Probably not until I have been, do I think it deserves to be called worst seaside town? Probably not as it looked tidy and clean enough. Enjoyed watching your video of Skeggy and it’s great you revisit these places, certainly don’t think it deserves the worst town title really.
