From Renaissance Venice to the streets of post-war Rome, Sir Antonio Pappano loves to explore the passion, the melody and the sun-kissed colours of an Italy we almost never hear.
There’s more to Italian music than just opera, and on our new exclusive EP for Apple Music Classical, Pappano presents Puccini’s Capriccio Sinfonico, a work which showcases the soaring imagination of a young composer in the dawning days of his career.
Pappano joined the Apple Music Classical team in the studio to hear the work after it was mastered in Spatial Audio, and couldn’t help but marvel at the space and clarity it gave to the music. He shares his thoughts in this video.

Everything I heard in the "Spatial Audio" sound like crap. And symphonic music sounds even worse, completely artificial… But if course marketing department will tell otherwise…
