Welcome to the Letterman YouTube Channel, home to all your favorite clips from Late Night and Late Show – as well as conversations with the writers, producers and performers who helped make it all happen. The language may strike you as quaint & flowery, the clothing comically lacey & ornate — but that’s how things were back in this colorful and now bygone era.

That bald head of hers is soooo sexy
Meh, she really hated America.
She was right.
I know you, Sinead.
I’m sorry I didn’t write that earlier.
You have long been apart of my conversation about an inevitable moral adjustment to the human species condition and to real Christo-feminist pain

When we all get to heaven what a concert we will see 💕 Fly well Beloved Lady, I'll come searching for you and Christopher Cornell and Jeff Buckley and all the rest when I Die 🙏 to this 🌎
She is so beautiful❤
Bless her. Miss her. RIP Sinead. RIP with your son. Thank you for your greatness.
I see and hear that beautiful soul shining through despite her unbearable suffering and it is as close to a miracle as you can get.
wow chills
Poor woman suffered a lot mentally…rip
I haven't seen her sing this since I saw her live a few months before she was on Letterman. I saw her in Boston, first visit, first tour. SOOO exciting!! It was magic!
Thank you for putting this video up. This is such a great capture of the young Sinéad offering us a great performance as usual — that voice and energy! Probably my favorite of her songs. In September 1988, she was yet to be well known in the US. R.I.P.+P. Shuhada Sadaqat – Sinéad Marie Bernadette O'Connor.
I had a crush on her. ❤
Thanks for posting this!
I think Mandinka is her best song.
That was interesting at the end when she's looking around at the audience and the band members.
Wow she sounds better live!! What a talent! Rip Sinead 💖
❤ Legend.
54 year old white Trump supporter and I gravitate to her totally. I love and miss her. She speaks to us all
Sorry, but this whole myth that she was canceled is nonsense. There just weren't any good songs left. Besides, what she did was also overdone and too one-sided. The action in the way she did it already showed that she had deeper problems.
hope she is with her beloved mum now xx
Truly epic
