This is the story of the Arabian ships and seafarers is often overlooked. But to remind us, there are the dhows of the Persian Gulf and the Indian Ocean, carrying cargo over waters that witnessed the birth of sea trade. Dhows helped spread Islam throughout the world, turning the Arabs into a major political force. The principal link in the lucrative trade between East and West also made Arab merchants a fortune.

No the most exceptional journey was under Pharaoh Necho that circumnavigated Africa.

This is not a very good film:
The narration is a jumble of random facts and half-truths; it's not well written
The pictures don't even go along with the topic being poorly described; it's not well filmed
I wanted to know more about Sinbad, tbh.

Egypt being protected by a desert from foreign influence became one of th world`s most enduring civilisations.Absolutely right.
Without "cultutal enrichment" and "diversity" every civilisation flourishes.
This is fascinating. But I canβt hear all the narrative because the music is too loud.
Informative and very entertaining, provokes a longing to learn more .
Music is way too loud. I canthear the narrator.
WHAT KIND OF A RABER ?
WERE THEY CALLED RABERS BACK IN THE DAY ?
The music is very pleasant, but too loud. This is an informative, well made documentary, otherwise. Thank you.
To forestall comments on the loud background music, I'd suggest putting the original television brooadcast info in the description. If this show is from the 1980's or 90's – which is the vibe I get from it – I imagine editing the volume of the music or the narration could be challenging if not unfeasable.
20mins in and I've still not heard about 1 Sinbad legend.
Surely these boats can date the pyramids
The music is WAY TOO LOUD!!! And whatever that super high-pitched musical instrument is the main offender. ANNOYING AS FUCK!!!
