Four people will stay in a sealed, 3D-printed fake “Martian” habitat for more than a year in the name of science. About 4,000 people applied to be one of the four volunteers in the simulation of Mars that will be monitored by NASA. Robert Pearlman, member of the Space Camp Hall of Fame, joins NewsNation host Dan Abrams to discuss.

  1. The test is flawed at its start. The mental impact would be much different if the people were in an enclosure on Mars. They are on the Earth and they know that just outside the walls is freedom, sun, family, friends, walks outside, variety of foods, etc. So the mental impact will be different from someone in a pod on Mars who knows it's their only safe place to be. Simply put, on Earth this experiment is more like being in prison. On Mars it would be more like exploration and survival in a harsh environment. Two very-very different experiments. Will it produce any valuable information and results? Maybe – but I don't think it will be what they hope to learn.

  11. This just seems weird really 3d printed environment that’s realistic…not and why are they all wearing black masks 😷. Covid is over is that political? Guess the house is 3d printed so maybe that’s the plan so maybe that makes sense

  12. So they simulate the lesser gravity. Thinner atmosphere and lack of a strong magnetic field allowing 40 to 50 times the radiation as Earth's surface gets….. Right?

    Oh and the health harming space travel that even effects blood and causes those that return to earth to suffer greatly for a time.

    To go to a place that's 95.99% more polluted by green house gases than earth is… So if they can live on Mars then fixing earth should be a cake walk…. Literally Earth's green house gases are at less than half of one percent…. As Mars sits at 96%.

HERE IS THE PROOF AND EVIDENCE THAT THE HUMAN CANNOT TRAVEL ON THE SPACE,, HUMAN DNA ARE ANIMAL OR LOW KIND OF LIFE OR PRISONER TYPE OR CANNOT ESCAPE ON PLANET REASON WHY HAVE LUNG, A LIFE HAVE A POSIBILITY TO TRAVEL IN THE SPACE ARE THE LIFE WITHOUT LUNG BECAUSE THIS LIFE ARE NO NEEDS OF MANY GAS INSIDE THE BODY, WITHOUT TOO MUCH GAS THE GRAVITY CONTAIN OF DNA ARE MANY REASON WHY LIFE WITHOUT LUNGS HAVE A CAPACITY TO ACCEPT THE STRONG RADIATION CAME FROM THE SUN AND IF TOO MUCH GAS IN THE BODY LIKE HUMAN WHEN ARRIVE IN THE MIDDLE OF MOON AND EARTH HUMAN BODY IS BURNING OR EXPLODE,, TO TEAVEL IN THE SPACE ARE NEEDS TO CHANGE THE TYPE OF LIFE OR ESCAPING INTO ANIMAL TYPE
