  1. At this point, I feel like side-scrolling silhouette games have created their own genre. What was clever in Limbo’s art style becomes unashamedly common in so many iterations of side-scrolling whatever. Barely tweak the graphics and mechanics and POOF! everyone’s throwing the word masterpiece around as often as they create rogue likes..rogue lites…wtf ever.

  2. I really enjoyed Limbo and Inside and I had this one on my watch list. Your reviews are always spot on for me so I’ll pass on this one now. I think if you got frustrated with the precise movement aspect it will be a game killer for me. I’m an older granny and I find my reflexes aren’t what they used to be so I’m adjusting my purchases accordingly now. Thank you for saving my wallet on this one. 🙂

  3. Currently playing this as it’s from a 2 man studio based in my town (Bristol). Basically having the same experience as you (great visuals and sound, solid gameplay, occasionally frustrating controls). Thanks for the review!

  4. it's sad to see that there's not much to the game aside from its amazing visuals and atmosphere. a solid story, tight controls and clever puzzles would come a long way to make it stand out more. i never enjoyed little nightmares because it features the same issues this game does and imo visuals and atmosphere are not enough to carry a game from start to finish. limbo and inside are classics because they excel at pretty much everything and leave a lasting impression.

  5. It’s beautiful. It’s makes great use monochrome color palette. I like short experiences. It’s drawing it’s influences from all the right places, too. This feels like a perfect Gamepass/deep sale pick up for me.
