Should We Have Gotten More? | Digimon World: Next Order Switch and PC Edition

A common sentiment expressed regarding Next Order is the premium price tag being circumvented onto a simple port adding only a new beginner difficulty option and the ability to move at 1.4 times speed. In this video, we discuss what type of additional content would’ve really spiced the game up.

  1. For full price in a port I definetly think some extra content would have been good (That extra movement speed is a godsent I will admit), some more quest and/or digimon would have been nice. Not even as much as a full expansion would be needed since the game it's quite fun and with a good amount of content already (Assuming the playstyle is for you, it's definetly not your regular rpg like the cybersleuth games), just something nice to justify the price a bit more. Still, I'm just happy people who couldn't play in ps4 get a chance on PC and switch.

  2. Hey man I get it but I thoroughly enjoyed it coming to the switch I’m at the last boss and have logged around 78 hours so far into my 4th generation and it’s been a great game overall I’m gonna get all 200 citizens and complete everything I can I’m happy with my purchase

  3. I'm not even surprised they didn't add much to the switch version, but yea they could've added more digimon or even a new story, like with new locations, enemies, features and so on like what capcom did with the monster hunter iceborne and monster hunter sunbreak.

  4. I do think that more and better side quests should’ve been implemented into the switch/PC version of the games, more Digimon to recruit to the city and more eggs to hatch to get more Digimon in your party, also new game+ mode, play the game again, but this time with 3 Digimon in your party, plus maybe it wouldn’t hurt to actually throw in the original Digimon world game as an added bonus if you pre-ordered the game on the Bandai Namco website, this would probably make people to actually order the game from Bandai Namco, but at the end of the day, I really did enjoy the game

  5. considering if you wait for a sale you can get next order on a ps4 for around 10-20 bucks they definitely needed to put in more to justify the full price, im thinking along the same lines tho so pulsmon egg and maybe eggs of the ghost game digimon

  6. Digimon does have a history of adding stuff later to their games as free DLC ever since Cyber Sleuth, especially with Next Order. The EX Scenarios you see in the DigiMail were all originally free DLC.

I'm just not sure if they'll do it coming after a 3-year long without hiatus releasing games. They do seem to be doing great after the comeback but Bandai likes to do stupid shit to the Digimon team from time to time. People found data for a New Game+ mode, but it seems to be a scrapped feature.

People did found data for a New Game+ mode, but I'm pretty sure it's a scrapped feature. Maybe it'll come out as an update in the future.

  7. This game is essentially just the original from PS made to be a switch game. It’s a solid game that makes you work to get different digimon (based on training stats) and the resetting of your digimon makes the game harder. You have to go back to previous areas and micromanage your digimon’s stat gains to produce stronger ones which in turn will allow you to progress further in the game. I can’t say it’s worth full original pricing, but it definitely will give a challenge to players.

  8. Thoughts: buying a 7 year old game that you already own is dumb. Buying a 7 year old game that you never had access to before because of Sony gatekeeping? Worth it to finally play. It's hard to feel bad paying full price for a first time on the platform release, even if it is a small difference. The game came out 7 years ago for those who had Sony products. It only recently got ported for pc and switch.

  9. As Devimon Fanboy.

    Neo Devimon and Dan Devimon.

    My Other Digimon list:

    Andromon – HiAndromon

    Rebelimon

    Digitamamon – Devitamamon

Targetmon (since he haven't made any debut in anime or game yet.)

    Jokermon

    Ghostmon – Bakemon – Soulmon – Phantomon – Metal Phantomon – Gokumon

and yeah Ghost game Digimons ro be added as well lol.

  10. We aren't supposed to know Loogamon's dim card line yet, so they wouldn't add that.
We're still getting Digimon 2020 reboot English dub, Ghost Game English dub, Digimon Story 7, VB Arena Ver. 2, a new Digimon movie, and Media Vision just put their PS1 Wild Arms games on PS4 and said they wanted to port Digimon's PS1 games. Digimon is not going anywhere.

  11. Personally, I didn’t mind paying for the switch port because it wasn’t as easily accessible on the ps4 and one of the few times I regretted buying a game. With the switch version, however, that portability has given new life to this game for me and I’m sure for others as well!

  12. That run and beginner mode should have only been a few lines of code. Not worth new game price for a few lines of additional code. I agree with your suggestions. I would have only been ok with DLC if the DLC was free with the game being $60. So they'd be getting new game price for an old game and they could justify those sales with free DLC.

  13. I might use the Nintendo Voucher to get this game. $100 for two games so it's basically $20 off. So, there's a discount in a way. And I love Digimon and WANT to get Next Order, but being FULL PRICED for a port of an old game that came out years ago is ridiculous.

Also, Pokemon SV… oh man. Not only did the recent patch REMOVE the Item Dupe glitch completely, but it introduced the Save Corruption bug that ruins your work. I don't care if it's SUPER RARE, it should NOT have been there. At least with X and Y you KNEW where the issue was with that Save Bug, SV you don't know what causes it. I liked SV a lot at first, despite the various issues and flaws but not I don't care for it.

I miss third versions. They added in the Third Legendary into the story and makes them memorable! Rayquaza stopping Groundon and Kyorge. Giratina stopping Cyrus from using Dialga and Palkia.

  14. The lowwred price was a clear fwar of missing out strategy capitalising in the outrage of yhe remakes price

People get mad about price but may be interested in the game

They put the original on sale to intise those people to buy iy of have ps4 based on fear pr missing out basic panoc buying situation

  15. I think the Pulsemon, Ryudamon, and Dorumon lines ought to have been included. That last one is especially egregious because it ain't even recent. It's from around 2005 and was being pushed heavily as a mascot back then even outside X-Antibody related media.

  16. My main issue is that the game has some pretty glaring bugs on the switch that still havent been patched yet, ranging to simple animation errors to the digifuse mechanic causing softlocks. But yeah, they really should have added some more digimon they introduced in Hacker's Memory and some new quests to recruit them to the city.
