  1. Wow it is shocking how many things you can get wrong in a single phone in. Storm Shadow is not a British missile, it is Anglo-French. Ukraine already has permission from the UK and USA to fire missiles into Russian territories, just not long range missiles. The UK has already given permission for Storm Shadow to be fired into Russian territory, but had to walk it back because of pressure from Biden. As for the callers on the topic of Nutrition and Food Labeling, their complete lack of knowledge perfectly illustrated why a legal framework is needed.

  2. Who's the person with the coconuts? It sounds like it might be an actual fan of Kamala Harris. No? Supporters have very much enjoyed Harris' story about her grandmother and her coconut saying.

  3. Did he just project Bibi's issue onto Putin? What a joke. Zelenski is the one avoiding votes. Ukraine were shooting missiles into the Donbass and escalating just prior to the invasion. If Europe allow this idiocy, watch America back off and get what they want. A weakened Europe and a weakened Russia.

  4. Regarding unfettered profiteering l would far rather live with an emboldened government (vilified in the term “nanny state”) than with a gutless government that allows profiteering to be put ahead of the health and well-being of the country.

  6. Seriously, i find it hard to belive adults without learning difficulties or eating disorders don't know what is healthy and what isn't even without the RDA information on the packages.

Do people seriously think fried food, fast food, chocolate and other snacks are equal to or even healthier than vegetables, fruits, nuts, fresh meats etc.

Ah yes, I'm sure going to macdonalds, the beacon of a healthy lifestyle and then eating a multi-pack of chocolate is no different to your salad and flatbred. Really!?

  7. Sigh, another white person saying that black people should be anti conservative by default.
These are the same people like James who said better to stay in the EU and change it from within as an argument.
Smacks of a lack of perspective

  8. They don't know how Storm Shadows work… You don't just fire it… The amount of infrastructure a single Storm Shadow needs is incredibly complex, especially from an outside view, something Ukraine does not have.

  9. People used to think seat belts were 'the nanny state', a ridiculous infringement on our rights… nuts now. I remember seeing news reports from the 70s, just people on vox pops ranting about something that is today, normal.

Ads are designed to be suggestive. John Watson weaponized classical conditioning. If you like this… you seen that? That means this!

I like having women, when I wear this deodorant you will get women!

Like fun? These sanitary towels! See how much fun these women wearing them are having?

Like the idea of flying? R— gives you wings!

These kids are having fun, look! Toys! Have a Mc—-!

I recently was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes, my parents were older, the attitudes to food in my home when I was growing up were not modern. The backfire for me was not allowing many treats while not taking diet particularly seriously, when I got out, I abused sugar and carbs to the max for like 25 years.

I wish I knew what I have had to learn since last September.

They do give dietary info on food btw. Fat, saturate, salt, sugar etc are on a colour codes on most things, the problem was that until I got diabetes I never looked at those labels.

I'd mention much like the smoking bans, I haven't smoked for a long time now, feels like denying addicts instead of helping them to transition to non sugar/nicotine/alcohol/heroine users first.

Idea: Decriminalize everything and use the McTaxes to show ads produced by the government showing the disaster of over doing carbs and sugar.

Hard drugs revenue to fund clean needle clinics like the do in Portugal. Here's Dave, he's blind and has 1 foot. Eat more salads.

A lettuce and cucumber sandwich is a lot of carbs and carbs turn to sugar and we know sugar is bad for you. Don't. I didn't know that. I knew about carbs, didn't know they were basically sugar. I used to love beige food like chips, bread and pasta… 60lb ago, and it's just a start of my weight loss journey. I could lose half my weight and probably not be in danger zone for BMI ratings.

Also, people get a Mc— because they just came off a double shift shattered and need a pick me up.

We need to recognize that neoliberal deregulation made the ground ripe for fast food abuse. They made ads utterly unethical and they ran our workers towards their breaking point because workers rights have eroded since Reagan and Thatcher weakened Unions.

They made the disease, tired (and too distracted to do the reading) workers, and sold the cure, cheap unhealthy processed fast food with brightly colored plastic nick-nacks that will put microplastics in your ground water and get caught in a seas turtle's nose.
