  1. It looks like a starling to me. And they are invasive to the USA. They kill other birds and lay there eggs in other birds nest and leave. They eat everything farmer have. It was probably kicked out of a nest.

  3. That's not what she should have done, and it was actually illegal. No one without a permit is allowed to possess a wild bird under a federal law called the Migratory Bird Treaty Act.

Her first step should have been to look around and see if there were any adult birds there. They were probably calling to their nestling and the woman ignored that because she was so bent on helping the bird herself. And the fact that the bird's mouth was gaping wide is because that's what nestlings do to get their parents to give them food. Songbird nestlings have yellow skin around their mouth which is called a gape that helps them get their parents attention to be said to fed. The girl should have picked the bird up and put it in a shrub or a low hanging portion of a tree for the parents to come back and get their nestling. I got the same time getting any pets out of the area so the nestling wouldn't be attacked by them. The young bird's parents were almost certainly in the area and had gone out to get food for their offspring. They do not need our help unless they are sick or injured and if they are you need to call a licensed wildlife rehabilitator, because people do not know how to raise wild birds or any other wild animals and often feed them things they would never eat in the wild which can ruin their health for the rest of their lives, and shorten the animal's lifespan. The narrative that the bird was afraid of heights and thus wouldn't fly is total b.s. This young bird had not yet grown in the long smooth wing and tail feathers call flight feathers without which they cannot fly. The fact that she trained the bird to fly is nonsense. Young birds inherently know how to fly but they can't do it until they grow in the appropriate feathers. This whole video is one big lie and it makes me angry as a wildlife biologist who has worked for birds for 20 years. I knew who and where this was I would have them charged with violating federal and state laws about capturing and holding wildlife. You cannot do that unless you have a permit.

  4. All y'all just don't get it. This whole thing was illegal and probably detrimental to the young bird in the long run. We do not want wild animals to become acclimated to humans like this because it puts them in danger of things like predation by cats and hawks who learn where these birds are living, and making them more likely to become roadkill! Every bit of this video shows a total lack of understanding about young birds. Its total bullshit!

  5. This story made me very sad

I found a bird just like this at my grandma's house, we were staying there for a week i was in my room and i heard a bird chirping despertly i got out and saw this bird seroundet by ants me and my sister and my cousin help it by giving it water and gave it a shower. But my sister and i didn't know that this bird will die if i let it take it in a shower in my bathtub so the ants will die.

After 3 days it died while i was eating dinner and i cried so hard even tho it was in just 3 days i loved it so much😒😒😒

(Btw i am not lieing)sorry my spelling is bad.

It's nest was on the roof and the bird fell down from it's nest that's why it was seroundet by ants.
