Shnootz – Reaction Video (a-ha – Thought that It Was You [Live Oslo 2001])

What’s happening, folks! I’m back with another a-ha reaction, and this time we listen to one of the live tracks included in the deluxe edition of Minor Earth Major Sky, namely the live performance of “Thought that It Was You,” which comes from the same concert as the Homecoming release. So join me for another lovely live performance from a-ha. Cheers!

Also I run a Patreon featuring extra content of different types, so anyone interested in supporting what we do here on YouTube and getting early-access to video-reactions and audio reactions blocked on YouTube, as well as behind-the-scenes videos, watchalongs, and blooper-reels from my videos, can go here: https://www.patreon.com/Shnootz

And those who’d like to support the channel with a one-time donation can do so via PayPal, at [email protected]. Thanks!

  1. It's a llive version that is, as you say, very close to the original, and perfectly performed. Morten added the extra lyrics "I hear an angel calling / I hear an angel cry" to the live version, though. 🙂🙃
The 2001 Vallhall concert in Oslo was released as DVD, and that is the format I own. I don't know exactly to what extent the songs were "chopped" for the CD you were going through in 2022, but I remember that parts had been removed when you reacted to a few of them (like the audience singalong in TLD, I believe). As I suggested before, maybe you can watch at least some of the performances on video later on. 😉
The song was a contribution from Morten to the MEMS album, composed in collaboration with Ole Sverre Olsen, and by a strange coincidence you reacted to two a-ha songs written by Morten today. 😜

  2. Oh I really like this song on the album and I love it live here too. Morten's voice is so good. I really love that part from 4:414:50. Is that the Keyboard? What is it? It sounds quite beautiful. Well, the whole song is. It just makes me feel like I am floating.
