dialogue inspired by the ship of theseus thought experiment. not a true representation of the original concept. i changed it because i wanted to (cue angry nerds in the comments)
ok but even if you replaced every line of dialogue in the original thought experiment, isn't it the exact same idea if each line was rewritten one at a time, at which point does it become a novel work vs a recreation of the original discussion
I mean thesus isn't wrong. it has been changed, cause the actual atoms that comprise the "thing" in question are entirely different. This isn't fucking 101 BC anymore we have microscopes and shit.
here's some dummi thesus proof. Go ahead and begin rebuilding the ship with ur new parts. As you do so, save the old parts and gently put them to the side. When you're done 'rebuilding' your new ship, take the pieces of the old ship and rebuild them. You now have two ships. Ergo, NOT THE SAME
Theseus, whatever are you doing? I am using wood and tools to create a logic trap for pedantic idiots. What are you going to call it? My ship. What are you going to call those whom you trap? Philosophers.
Wait but this is kind of a cool take on the thing. Like the original idea being that the ship has its parts gradually replaced one by one, whereas this seems like you take the whole ship apart and then completely build a new one in its place. Which is functionally the same technically, but feels way less like the "same ship". Like taking it to its logical extreme. People are really just breaking thought experiments in youtube shorts these days, not bad
This isn't really the ship of theseus / Theseus' paradox. Each single piece would need to be replaced, not copied. I don't think you understand the paradox correctly
Ah, so this is the true new Anthpo. His disingenuous, broken promises have rendered his downfall to be a certain outcome, so a new rising star has appeared.
Somehow it feels like I'm late and yet early finding this channel.

Pls do eternal return next, its gonna be the big one, I'm sure!
That was really cute.
I had no idea I needed this until the minute I finished watching..
So they did have crack back then!
I don't see any sparkle. This excellent young woman has dolls eyes. Please don't haunt me and steal my soul.
The offence in theseus’s voice when he was told it was the same ship. “WhAt?!?! NOoooo!!! Noooo…!!!”
I've never subscribed to a channel more quickly.

End.
And it’s clean, so it’s new. Fight me.

This is honestly much funnier that it’s supposed to be. This needs to be in the next Philosophical Neir Automata game. 🤣🤣🤣
Are identical twins the same person?
My right ear really enjoyed half of this video
I'll ship YOUR Theseus.
I'll see myself out.
this will be shown on the first day of class by “cool” philosophy professors from now until the end of time

This belongs on Tim and Eric
After 15 seconds I’m subscribed, I’m in love, and I’m fascinated. How???
Now do the chicken one
Back when both audio and video could be encoded on marble cylinders, such hardcore cinemaphiles those Greeks.

Theseus, whatever are you doing?
I am using wood and tools to create a logic trap for pedantic idiots.
What are you going to call it?
My ship.

Philosophers.

If you replace every part of a thought experiment, but it still provoked the same kind of thought, is it still the same thought experiment?
🧐😜
Amazing

Very cool!
Maybe tackle some sisyphus next, I think you could have some fun with that. Funny as hell as always 👏🏻
I downloaded this video, cut it into 2-second segments, and then spliced those segments together. It's mine now.

This is the definition of "Art"… "Noooo ittssss nooottt!!!!"
Ah, so this is the true new Anthpo. His disingenuous, broken promises have rendered his downfall to be a certain outcome, so a new rising star has appeared.
This video is as if you don't understand the ship of Theseus thought experiment, but…
Yeah no that's it
Thanks for making these.
