  1. Honestly if it wasn't for this band I wouldn't be here and I hope to see them soon one day. So thank you Brent, you have help keep me alive but I'm not sure how much longer I can take life anymore

  2. You never know who you might be saving just by taking a moment to have a conversation. A few minutes or a few hours, that life might be different. This song reminds me to thank those people in my life.

  3. I've never had a song match perfectly what motherhood has felt like for me. I was an alcoholic when I learned I was pregnant. Then my partner left me shortly after. I knew I needed to change and grow up. After having my child, I knew I needed to make even more changes for the better so I could give him the best life…this song captures that so perfectly

  5. I was diagnosed with a fear of getting too close
Had to tell the ones I love, I was on the ropes
I'm not the only one whose life's been pulled apart
Spending one year and three months in the dark
So here we are, all dressed to kill, where should we go?
Into the wild again to face the great unknown
    And have the midnight conversations
    You and I postponed
You saved my life, not once but twice
You keep me free from falling
You saved my life, make it all alright
When I don't feel like talking
You make sure I always see the daylight (oh oh oh)
It's amazing what the hard times can reveal (oh oh oh)
Like who shows up, who walks away, and who's for real (oh oh oh)
So take me on, I'll take the wheel and we can both outrun the past (oh oh oh)
We will always live forever if we don't look back (oh oh oh)
You saved my life, not once but twice
You keep me free from falling
You saved my life, make it all alright
When I don't feel like talking
You make sure I always see the daylight
It's amazing what the hard times can reveal (have faith that you're not alone)
Like who shows up, who walks away, and who's for real (have faith that you're not on your own)

  7. I just finished doing a week in jail after not being in trouble in 20 years, because I relapsed after 7 years sober. All because life got really hard really fast and apparently I couldn't handle it.
So here I am alone again I've hurt everyone I love which is basically my 4 children who needed me the most during a time that was hurting them the most.
I needed this song today just as much as I needed "Call me" & "Breaking inside"these last few years.
I'm going to be okay I'm figuring it out this time on my own & I have to do it alone, for me alone so I don't have to be alone forever. I'm not scared and I know I got this and to everyone else it looks like I'm struggling but I'm not, I'm still fighting. But once in a while I take a punch and they always hurt. I didn't have to tell my family I'm on the ropes today cuz they already know.
I'm not fighting these battles to prepare for a war anymore, I'm fighting these battles to prevent one and I promise you all I'm going to win. Losing is not an option anymore.
Thanks for reading please keep these incredible songs coming as I need them dearly so I don't feel like I'm doing this alone whether I am or not.
    God bless you all.

  9. This song is so relatable right now. ❀️ I've known my husband for 17 years and we are 31 years old. He always shows up, takes my hand and walks me away from the people who aren't good for me, and he's definitely for real. He's kept me from falling a LOT, we lost our daughter 2.5 years ago, and he makes sure I always see the daylight. Shinedown is just an amazing band. My favorite of all time. ❀️
