  1. As a guy this is kinda hard for me to say but I was bawling like a baby by the end of the video. This song hits me so hard because I too struggle with social anxiety. I had heard the song on the radio but it never really got to me until I watched the video. Never really was a big fan of Shinedown but now I think they are my favorite.

  2. Got in my car yesterday to drive to therapy and this song was on the radio- I hadn’t heard the song until then. It resonates so much that it’s been on repeat since then. Message received ❤️.🫂 to all who need it like me.

  3. Great artists and genuinely good humans. Took time to meet my 12 year old daughter, give her hugs, high fives, drumsticks and guitar picks. Years later and she still talks about Brent and crew.

  4. Awe you wrote me a song!! I love it! So nice to hear songs similar to the sound of madness. Still my number one favourite. See you every time you come to Penticton, BC. ❤

  5. I heard this today and thought about my life, and I broke down crying. Because, this is life… this messed up and beautiful life… this is what all the crazy things we do and live with leads to. Just being human. Thank you. "Princess of the Lunatic Ball."

  6. A Symptom Of Being Human

I can't still remember me and Miss November Rain
    Beautiful and strange
Always so inclined, coloring outside the lines
Yeah, you were never on time
You've always been slightly awkward, kinda weird
Upside down and not all here
What's a-wrong with me and you is crystal clear
    Sometimes I'm in a room where I don't belong
And the house is on fire and there's no alarm
And the walls are melting too
    How about you?
I've never been the favorite, thought I'd seen it all
'Til I got my invitation to the lunatic ball
And my friends are comin' too
    How about you?
Don't worry, it's all just a symptom of being human
    Unpack all your baggage
Hide it in the attic, where
    You hope it disappears
    This all seems so familiar
But it doesn't feel like home
    It's just another unknown
You've always been slightly awkward, kinda weird
Upside down and not all here
Right a wrong, it's all so crystal clear
    Sometimes I'm in a room where I don't belong
And the house is on fire and there's no alarm
And the walls are melting too
    How about you?
I've never been the favorite, thought I'd seen it all
'Til I got my invitation to the lunatic ball
And my friends are comin' too
    How about you?
Don't worry, it's all just a symptom of being human
    We're all just passing through
Passengers on a ship of fools
    We're all just passing through
Passengers on a ship of fools
    Sometimes I'm in a room where I don't belong
And the house is on fire and there's no alarm
And the walls are melting too
    How about you?
I've never been the favorite, thought I'd seen it all
'Til I got my invitation to the lunatic ball
And my friends are comin' too
    On a ship of fools
    Don't worry, it's all just a symptom
    Of being human

  7. Beautiful song about the truth of depression and struggles through life. Chris Cornell may he RIP sang songs about metal pain. People like us are not looking for pity. This shit is real. 😢❤

  9. There are so many people who feel the same way as I do about this song! They played it on 'Alt' for a few weeks, now I have to play it on my playlist to hear it. But I agree, don't wear it out!

  10. I've listened to this song several times, but this was my first time watching the music video. I cried when people started to acknowledge her and reach out to her. I am someone who lives in my own secluded world, not sharing my thoughts, feelings or anything going on in my life with others, but I still crave the feeling of having someone notice something is up and checking up on me. Nobody ever does, so my mind pushes me further into seclusion. I don't want to burden others with my problems, so I'll continue to fight this battle every day until I find a way to change it.
