The person who designed Shimo said something about how people were having debates about Shimo's gender and said how it was amazing they think Shimo is female. So I believe Shimo will be female if they talk about it in the movie. We will need to wait and see though.

I really don't care about Godzilla fighting Space Godzilla or Destroyah, I'd rather see their own creations fight the Gman, and it continue on from there. Space Godzilla and Destroyah aren't the end all be all monsters everyone thinks and wants to make them out to be. Biollante would make a better one they could add to her and make her be a far bigger threat than those two and harder fight if they do it right. They need to make a tie-in animated series that's cannon that have more of the old monsters that the original Godzilla fights and shows the fights from the comics as well and any other things Legendary wants to add. Not all of it needs to be massive, big budget live action films, and TV series and if they did an animated series right it would be just as good and look as amazing as the live action films and TV show is and could have more of both then human part and monster stuff we all want to see instead of smashing it all in together in the films and live action show which cost more and are way more limited.
