  1. Hello, friend. I actually expected this outcome, to be fair, as the Uruk-hai attacked you very soon. RIP Erkenbrand, he was a very good general. But now, you have Theoden in the fray and Eomer on the field… Now, I agree that before getting infrastructure and a new army, you cannot fight Saruman as you are in an offensive expedition. You need to build up and then slowly recruit your men, while you keep a defense in Foldburg. At the same time, have an eye in Mordor, as if Calenhad falls, your back will be threatened and you'll get hit from two sides. Turtle, defend and get your income up, this is what you must do right now. Up until you are free to start the offensive again… And to be fair, I also suppose that Saruman gains regions from Gondor as well, as he can strike from the back, if he holds Gynd, which means that he can strike through Cirith Iaur.
And now, let's add another episode for our story:

No one expected this exact to happen. King Theoden sent Grima in a task that seemed important. However, his eyes had a clean colour, now that news came about the Uruk-hai invasion and how the heroic defense of Westfold went on. Grima got out easily and he had with him a very good guard. But the next day, an old man dressed in a grey mantle came in and no one prevented his entrance. He stayed with the King for a time, but afterwards, as they all came out, the King was wearing his own armour and held his sword, something that he never did during Grima's days. And his voice was clear and loud.
"Really, my benefactor", he was heard to say. "Thanks for helping me dealing with that wizard. Saruman's head will be cut off, be sure about that. He has a lot to pay for what he's done. But now, we have to send a message to Eomer. The King orders the country to get ready to repel the invasion!".
Many were entirely surprised about this order. But soon, some messengers got out running, they went to the stables, from where the rode in sped, pressing hard their horses.
"I'm pretty sure, father", Eowyn came forth as she was speaking to Theoden. "Some of them might give word to Saruman. These were the mercenaries that Grima brought to us from afar – we still have yet to discover their origins. Though some others might reach my brother".
"Even in this", Theoden said, "Eomer already knows. I sent him a message to get him into action. Now that the Uruk-hai attacked first, the masks fell and everyone can now see what Saruman truly wants. So, Grima had no job here. I knew when I sent him away that we will never return. And believe me, my dear, he won't".
"It's a wise decision", Gandalf said. "Now, I leave it to you and your generals to releive the country and take out the threat of Saruman. Unfortunately, I have to go back, as King Aragorn needs me by his side".
"Of course", Theoden said. "Tell him that, despite the distance and the fact that we haven't sent our diplomat to the North yet, we consider him as our ally and we'll help with whatever we can in times of need".
    Gandalf simply nodded and left.

The messenger got to Eomer as he was standing in front of the Fangorn Forest. The nephew of the King was eager, but he was discussing matters with another guy, with brown hair and a rather mediocre profile, whom he seemed to know well. Eomer heard the message of the King, but he didn't seem to happy about it. Nevertheless, the other man simply nodded.
"You'll be much needed in the battle now", he said. "Especially now that Theodred sent the news that Erkenbrand is not in this world anymore".
"I know", Eomer replied. "It's a heavy burden. But I'll do what I can".
"I suppose now that we will need to defend", the man said. "We don't have the resources to attack straight against Saruman, neither in Orthanc nor in everywhere else. Foldburg is in the middle, so it's there where we have to keep the defense. And we must start rebuilding the country".
"You are right, Anborn", was Eomer's reply. "We don't have the resources to attack further now, so the King will try to work the country, so that we gain those resources to repel Saruman. And maybe help your country as well. As you are from Gondor, aren't you?".
"My family resides in Pinnath Gelyn, yes", Anborn said. "However, our people are the Daen people, who came to Gondor in years of old. The real ancestors of our people have come from southern Enedwaith, who passed through Iant Iaur and Cirith Iaur into what would become Gondor. I voluntarily came with a small company of men of my House to help with the permission of Lord Hilruin of Pinnath Gelyn, because I'm a Knight of the Green Hills. But I fear that the Uruk-hai are down there".
Eomer's hand was on the shoulder of the Knight. "If they are there, our horses will kick their asses", he said.
The other man had clear eyes, but he placed his hand over Eomer's hand. "Shall we go?", he asked gently. "We have things to do".
Eomer simply nodded and the two left.

  2. In DAC it lets you know where the Ring is. At the beginning of the turn, your map will zoom into the random location and a giant red ring will appear around the city it’s in for the next set of turns.

That won’t happen for another few turns though. If it’s really far away, you can wait and it’ll move to a new location.

Once you claim the ring, you’ll have 25 turns to get it to Imladris

  3. Just a tip; Meeting halls give the regular bodyguard unit free upkeep, I built those in my gondor campaign and it saved me 4000 gold per turn because every standard bodyguard costs 2-300 upkeep, it was hugely effective.
