A Georgia jury took less than an hour to convict Gregory Deonte Norwood, 29, for the brutal stabbing of Crystal Powell, 31. Norwood, the father of Powell’s youngest child, insisted Powell stabbed herself, but the medical examiner disagreed. Several other children witnessed the slaying and testified at trial. Law&Crime’s Jesse Weber discusses the case with District Attorney Randy McGinley and Assistant District Attorney Lacey Majors.

  7. Question i would have asked the DA is how are the children? Sometimes the m******r's family gets custody which doesnt seem fair. Hopefully there together & surrounded by loving caring ppl.

  9. His stupidity is almost equal to his cruelty. This really showed that attorneys and law enforcement are human too, and even though they probably try not to there’s cases they will become emotionally involved.

  19. He looks like a high IQ individual. What did this lovely teacher see in him I wonder. What could they possibly have had in common, that she not only entered into a relationship with him, but had his child? What were their conversations like? Future plans? Or was he the only man who looked past the fact she already had 3 children by another man? If so, she should have asked herself why.
    Maybe I am victim blaming, just a little bit. Of course, a woman SHOULD be able to date any man she wants, but reality doesn't agree.
    I've seen so many women say they won't date another man until their children are grown, the risk is just too high. Those are smart women. Thank God the kids are all safe, but they'll have to live with this horrible trauma the rest of their lives.

  25. No WAY a mommy would kill herself in front of her kids in any way! Let alone a violent way such as a bloody stabbing. And no WAY could she do it 14 times! That’s painful! I don’t think a person could do it more than 2x and that’s pushing it!

  29. this was a teacher???? who was she teaching based on the fact that she had a baby with THIS MAN? I BET all my money he was not worthy of being a boyfriend better yet a father of a child!!! he had no right to do this but dang she already had 3 kids and this just goes with my theory that NOT ALL PEOPLE SHOULD BE ALLOWED TO HAVE/MAKE CHILDREN.

  36. I did some research on self inflicted stabbings. It does happen, so it has to be considered. Usually, there will not be cuts to the middle of the back. No defensive marks on the hands. Often, there are one or two hesitation marks. What i learned is to never say, "nobody would do that". People will do absolutely anything that is physically possible.
