I get what you’re saying about “keeping some mystery” in the relationship but honestly if you’re with someone and committed to them that mystery is supposed to come from a place of growth and changing into different people (are you the same person you were 10 years ago?) and falling in love over and over again. It’s not from not seeing each other shit. Everyone shits. We’re made of meat and fluid when it comes down to brass tacks, and we all have bodily functions and if that’s enough to turn you off to your partner you should just move on because they’re not the one. Imagine if you married someone and took vows to love them for the rest of your lives through sickness and health and then sickness knocks on your door. That’s not usually the most glamorous thing and it’s not always temporary. Keep that in mind before you walk down the aisle.

Idk I have been engaged for 3 years now and we just don’t have the time or energy to plan anything and it doesn’t really matter to us. We live together, have a mortgage together, pets, we are starting our family etc. we just have more important things to do right now doesn’t mean we don’t love each other or have cold feet I’d go to the court house today idc. Ryland and Shane only show a small edited window of their lives and they seem perfectly happy and content with that. At a certain point in relationships most people reach a level of comfort and it’s not really that weird. They could already be married.
