Recognising the practicality of camouflage, armed forces throughout the world are investing a lot of resources and money into developing new designs and patterns. Some of them, however, opt to skip the research and development phase and just copy the work of others.
These are some of the most famous copycat uniforms in history.

  1. The camouflage I hate the most right now is Multicam, literally almost every Police or Military force is using nowadays. Even in Ukraine is using by both sides so it often gets mistaken and both sides look so much alike.

  3. Where are they Soviet camo patterns. They start made it in 1938s and they have great ones during ww2 . First pixel camo they made in 1944 and it was TTsMKK uniform…is it hard to mention this…also they made lot of camo pattern during cold war….

  4. Sometimes the shameless copy is the best choice. The US Marine MARPAT basically copied the Canadian CADPAT because Marines didn't want to pay licensing fees. The camo was very effective.

Army wanted to join the digital camo craze, but Marines refused to share its camo. Army then designed a new camo very similar to the marine one with a more greiesh color, resulted in the worst camo ever known to men: the sofa camo UCP.

  5. The 1st use of camouflage was by the British Rifle revetments they wore green jackets instead of red around 1800s. All they were the first to use NCOs and rifles the baker rifle.

  6. …. So, whats the mechanic equipment/combat vehicle camouflage?

You should cover this since the US Army has adopted camouflage as well as German, Russian, British, and many countries tanks camouflage.
I find it weird, but it is interesting in hiding big weapons or equipment during combat hours
