This was the big one! What an exciting unboxing. I'm years away from playing mine as I want to finish playing the original modules first, so I'm living vicariously through you, Derek and the other players with the current campaign. I was a little disappointed in the board game because it wasn't what I expected but I'm keeping an open mind to see how it integrates into the campaign. But overall I think the product is well made and I like the artwork and quality. So exciting to see a new DL product for the first time in years! Outside of a life size metal Dragonlance or Hickman's original notes from the car ride when he began DL, this is gonna be a tough unboxing to beat! Haha
I seriously don’t know how effective this board game is gonna be. I like the miniatures, I like the map pieces. But the Board Game is also too much to memorize for these games.
There was an easier way of doing this. But I won’t lie, it could easily have dipped into Warhammer Skirmish battles rather than the look of a full-on war.
Got mine yesterday, the minis I felt where not as detailed as they could have been and the "paint on it is very strange"

I will say, with regards to the setting logos, none of the 5E setting books have used them – no Forgotten Realms logo, no Eberron logo, no Spelljammer logo. A very simplified Forgotten Realms logo has been used on the Realms novels published in the 5e era and that's it.
