  1. Ill write the Libs election plan for the next election. We will roll back all the woke, socialist crap that labor has forced down our throats in recent years. We will leave all the UN treaties. We will stop all unskilled immigration into the country. There will be a royal commission into the Covid charade and into the misuse of aboriginal funding. Stop all foreign aid. Get spending on core subjects like health, education and defense and stop wasting it on socialist woke crap. There you go, easy win.

  2. Why is Tesla at 0? Don't they count the cost of the fossil fuels mined and the rare earths mined by petrol and diesel into the equation? Then there are the diesel generators at their power point to recharge. Its total hypocrisy.

  3. If i could make petrol or hydrogen in my backyard and put it in my car each day, travel to wherever and back, and then fill up again and not pay future tax (fuel excess that goes into general revenue) then i would seriously consider. Pay tax upfront for the infrastructure.
Is it possible? I suppose if you have spare odolls but i don't.

  4. Typical Sky News scare mongering that ignores the facts and basically spreads misinformation and conjectures.
Australia stands out as one of the few advanced economies without a NEVS. Bowen is only bringing Australia into line with car regulation in other counties. NEVS doesn’t ban any vehicles but requires companies to balance high-emission vehicles with more efficient ones or purchase offsets from other companies.

  6. Bowen's plan is nuts!! He needs to consider the full life cycle of emissions not just tail pipe……..manufacturing EV's aint green at all…..even Volvo's study showed EV's need to travel 70,000 miles (113,000 kms) just to break even with manufacturing carbon footprint of ICE cars! Not to mention all the other not so green EV myths like coal/gas fired charging, tyre landfill as they chew through tyres, extra tyre particle pollution, battery e-waste…..the list goes on.

  7. The problem with fleet average legislation is you can't force consumers to buy the product that complies to the legislation. They will buy the car they want and if the can't they will buy the next best car from someone else. And if they can buy a new car they will buy a used one or they will fix up their current car.

They will never buy a car that can't do what they need no matter how much Chris Bowen demands they do.

  8. So on Bowens Ideology soon we will have no cars as we currently have no car manufacturers. If EV's are so profitable and good, Why have Ford, GM, Honda and Toyota stoped making them. They know the vast majority want petrol and diesel cars

  9. The other stupid thing I’ve heard is Bowen wants to or is going to tax adblue, which is an adaptive to some diesel utes and most trucks to helps with the pollution output of those trucks. This guy needs to go.
