I think they were referring to the general slocum disaster, it actually took place in the east river near a park in a neighborhood that I’ve lived in my whole life. Very interesting story.

9:12 The France was for a time the longest liner. She's probably about the last 'proper' liner built on traditional lines. I missed seeing her when she was in the UK, in the 90's I think. It would be nice to see her story here.
