September Allotment Tour & Harvest 2022 / Homegrown Garden

September is a busy month for harvesting my crops, preserving them in the kitchen or storing them for later use in the winter months. Join me whilst I harvest my squash and beans and see how the allotment is doing in it’s transition into autumn.

  2. Lovely tour as always. Our Manitoba Fall is very similar right now. First hard frost this week so annuals are all pulled and only carrots, beets and Swiss chard remaining in the garden. Congratulations on your engagement!🇨🇦

  3. 🙌🏼👌🏻🌱. Beautiful cosmos. It is exciting putting a garden to bed and harvesting seed. And even more exciting planning for next season. I love the end of the month allotment tour 🥰

  4. Greetings from St. Louis, Missouri, USA! Love your videos and your method of gardening. Very similar to the way my husband and I garden. Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials and I wish I could keep subscribing to help get you to that 100k mark. Best wishes.

  5. Is it just me or does the holster, braided hair and sunny disposition somehow remind one of the character Jessie in Toy Story? Just kidding. Love your show and eclectic garden setup (you even have fish😍). The female Charles Dowding, Both of you are a must watch. Best of luck with the wedding.

I'm wondering if there was a mix up at the seed company. I've grown Honeyboat and Crown prince the last 2 years and they've both been brilliant.

  10. I hope you don't mind me asking, but I was thinking about storing my Dahlias in the greenhouse, but now that I think about it, will it be too cold, can I store them in my garage? I've had them in pots so I'm sure they won't last the winter alone.

  11. How exciting for you. Congratulations on your engagement 💝. I am playing catch up on your videos. Busy season with harvesting as I am sure you understand. I do hope you feel better soon. I was wondering if you could direct me. We have family from South Devon. They came for just shy of a full month visit and I have convinced them to do some growing of their own. That said, can you give me a list of companies for seeds that I can order and surprise them with. Thank you for sharing. Love the colours on you. All the best💝🇨🇦🥂

  12. The Zundert Mystery Fox dahlias look great and they made me crave oranges, satsumas and grapefruits. They almost look like illustrations from a book. 🙂

Congratulations on the engagement. Would be nice to see the flower arrangements for the wedding when the time comes.

Looking forward to hearing what you'll be planting for next year.

  13. You are a lucky soul, Katrina.
And you did not make the mistakes I made. I am the little creator soul here in this world for the first time, and in this transformation I got so confused, I did not recognise my soul path at the farmhouse in Thuringia. I should have been there with my little brother!

And it hurts so much, that I am not there and that I cannot be with my brother!

  16. Always love your videos, they bring me so much joy! Spider mites have wreaked havoc on half my garden this year, it's been a nightmare. I'm going to be investing in some predatory mites next year I think!

  17. Michael here from America. I grew up on a farm in Indiana. My mum would pull tomatoe plants [lfully oaded] from the ground before a frost and hang the plants upside down in thcellars. The plants would grow a bit longer and we had fresh tomatoes thru Thanksgiving . If you try this make sure you mist the roots. Didn't always work but I thought you might like to try this. P.S. I was stationed at RAF Upper Heyford from 1984 to 1989 and loved it!
