  1. I have a friend who works for a CDL school. A student got stuck on the tracks with a train coming. The instructor literally open the door and pushed the person in the driver side out and he got it off the tracks with about 15-20 seconds to spare.
The other students asked if they could leave the student behind.
It was in a Coffin Cab (very short sleeper birth, no windows In the back.

  2. Well both these drivers are looking for new jobs now… for the first guy in the truck, all you had to do was wait for the train to pass if it was that close and with you making a big wide turn too. Second guy in truck, since you was stuck get out of the truck and call the number on the train crossing sign and the train may have been able to stop or slow down so wouldn't have much damage to train/trailer/truck and most importantly GET OUT OF THE TRUCK AND GET TO A SAFE DISTANCE!! Your lives are more important, not your loads on your trucks or your company truck/jobs. Please be careful on train tracks everyone!

  3. Authorities advised that the driver of the truck 'Motioned' for the Train to Stop but the engineer Intentionally Swerved to hit his truck.

  4. Yeah, well, that's Mexico. Maybe they don't have the same standards for CDL's there? Or the driver simply didn't even have one? It's AGAINST DOT RULES to SHIFT CROSSING RAIL TRACKS OF ANY KIND! (As you approach, slow down and roll your window down enough to listen if there's train horns, or you can hear the rumble of an approaching train. Get into the proper gear to carry yourself completely across without shifting. Proceed without stopping until the end of the vehicle has completely cleared the rail right-of-way. Do NOT proceed unless you can complete the crossing entirely at once!) It's not that hard, people!
