  1. I enjoyed the magical origins sections, but ultimately I am nowhere near convinced. Staying secret for just a century seems eminently explainable. They surely chose the spot for the fog (which doesn't seem magical, as it remains all this time past discovery despite being a disadvantage for a merchant city. It's easily possible that any few ships that stumbled across it were seized or otherwise contained. And a century is no time at all in GRRM's world. Also, I think we don't really have any concrete examples of green magic in Essos (?), so it seems like a huge stretch. Still, it's always nice to entertain parallels. But be aware, I will click on and enjoy your videos even if they contain no novel theories.

  2. The idea that the Titan "coming alive to defend the city" is a combo of the genuine garrison within the Titan and the magical defenses within the Titan and it's horn-like roar is super plausible to me. I believe it. That way there both a "oh no see it's just a story" and a deeper magical explanation.

  3. Welcome Back, Happy New Year. Good to hear from you. I like your Theories and will always wait patiently for the next one, Quality before Quantity that's what I say. And a Video about the Faceless Men? Count me in, I can't wait to see it. But could you maybe mention the Lion of the Night in the House of Black and White and how he is portrayed? What I find quite interesting is how that Description would fit Daenerys when she starts her Journey in ACOK, she wears the Pelt of the Hrakkar which was killed by Drogo with the Head of said white Lion over her Head, which would mean when she is seen from far away, she would look like a mix of Human and Lion who rides on a Silver horse. Sidenote, she does this to protect her Head from the Sun, she has no Hair at that Point of the Story so she could easily get a Sunstroke. I mean they do travel through a Desert the Red Waste. Nonetheless, she resembles the Lion of the Night in that part.

  4. Lewin is quite a good source of what passes for scientific fact in ASOIAF, but Nan 's stories are from the age of magic and told to the Stark children in a world where magic is about to once more……Hatch!

  5. I think that Bravos sounds like a combination of Amsterdam, Venice, New Orleans, and the great river of grass that once covered the southernmost third of Florida.
I think I'd love to visit Bravos on Unmasking Eve.

  6. Can Old Nan mean "maiden's blood" when she says what feeds the Titan? I thought It could be connected to Azhor Ahai with his sword and Brandon of the bloody blade….

  7. Firstly – yay new video! Secondly i always felt Braavos was very Rhoyne-y, (what is mist/fog if not a "wall of water," in cloudy formation), but the idea of a melting pot of magic is really interesting πŸ€“πŸ€“
