Random question does anyone alse know that the mimic can buff itself with consumable items? I learn about that when I randomly equipped a exquisite meat. Just asking because don’t hear any talk about it
so basically you have to almost beat the game before getting it
Disclaimer on the Cerulean tear mechanic: It only works with spells and summons. If you try and use an Ash of War without the required FP to cast it, you WILL go through the motions, but you WON'T actually get the effect of the skill. So e.g. the Blasphemous Greatsword will be raised up and slammed down into the ground, but you won't get the flame burst that deals that damage. Similarly for the Royal Knight's Resolve, you will do the animation, but you won't get the damage buff.
If you're not sure whether or not you have the required FP to cast a weapon skill, you can always just check above your item selection UI – if the skill is not crossed out, you can use it and get the special effects of the skill. If it's crossed out and has a grey filter over it, you can't use the skill for additional effects other than just the initial attack.
You're recommending a new summon daily that's supposedly better than the Mimic one lol few days ago it was the Black knife one
I currently have the following in my memory slots; Golden Vow, Order's Blade, Rotten Breath and Flame, Grant me Strength. For some reason the Mimic seems to buff himself and starts spitting Rot. I have +25 Claymore with me and the Mimic just spams the breath most of the time. But hey, it works!
The mimic is not smart, I can’t count have many times mine would start the battle by healing 2/3 times while Radagon is merciless trying to one shot me.
Using the cerulean tear to summon is so smart.
I run a really strong Bleed build with twin scimitars and my Mimic DESTROYS most Bosses lol but it definitely depends on your build tho. If your build sucks, your mimic will suck too 🤷🏾♂️
the dragon knight is really good for malenia cuz he can consistently knock her down for free damage and he can trade enough damage to make up for any heals she gets from hitting him
Tiche is to good honestly, she's probably the best summon in the game. As a turtle bleed build she helps tons with damage.

Dont over level your character and roast ppl about their "builds" I beat the game at level 50 and dont plan on leveling up

I'm glad people are messing around with other summons. Like, I love the mimic but there are so many good ones that unless I'm stuck on a boss I like to rotate through them.

Mimic is the best summon , it's a tankier version of yourself not to mention infinite FP!!! A tanky Sorcerer. You may even get lucky and your Mimic will hold down the Comet Azur.
For me personally I don’t have the desire to use the mimic tear. I’m playing a very magic based build. But that means my health isn’t super high and can’t wear the best armor. While I have a blast with it and it’s pretty strong. a npc mimic that will try and face tank a boss means it won’t last very long. So these high mana summons that are more effective in melee and good at drawling attention is what I need.
As a "mage" I really enjoy the 5 shield tower summons.
The problem with her Scarlet Rot aspect is that it only takes 1-2 Antspur Rapiers with Seppuku for the Mimic to trivialize her and out damage her. Especially for people who need a lot of Scarlet Rot buildup like Radagon.
All of them can beat the mimic tear if your build is crap. None of them come close if your build is good.
If you have a mimic and the elden tree heal spell the mimic will become immortal

Mimic DOES have the little added bonus of having infinite FP, so it can spam the sh*t outta your craziest ashes of war/incantations (Golden Land comes to mind)
And there we go again, people looking for summons able to COMPETE with the Mimic. Long story short, they cannot compete. Mimic is gonna replicate any broken build the player is using, it's gonna use any consumable equipped at the time of its summon, it's gonna use buff spells, offensive spells no matter how brokenly strong they may be, any and all armament equipped, it's also gonna regen it's own health with the flask. Oh and if any of you out there aren't still aware : THE MIMIC HAS NO MANA BAR, so it can cast shit as many times as it wants to or for as long as it's alive. And trust me, if it's got nice armor on, it can survive for A VERY LONG TIME, and sometimes even solo bosses all by itself, no help required!
Bottom line, if you equip yourself with a Rot Dragon Breath, then Mimic will have it too and use it, just as you. So Cleanrot Knight Finlay is cute and all, with his little def buff, his little range ability and his little rot DoT, but at the end of the day, Mimic is in an entirely different realm, or galaxy, or even dimension!
No comparison possible.
The biggest drawback to Finlay isn't the FP cost, it's the fact that you can't summon Mimic while using it. If you want your summon to have rot damage just give your mimic a rot weapon or Rotten Breath. The Mimic Tear literally does everything better than every other summon in the game, no other summon is even worth mentioning.
Of all the new content creators for elden ring, this is the ONLY channel that actually gives guides and not just repeating the same rune farm videos over and over so thank you.
You are incorrect, the other summons ends his dmg res in +10, but the mimic still scaling with your stats, so, more lvl you are, more stranger he is

the Finlay and Tiche is trash in Newgame+ literal die after 2 hits at max lvl just use Mimic and use Blood and Scarlet weapons and you change your weapons after summon mimic to 2 dual bleed weapons while mimic use scarlet rot easy win at max lvl Mimic has 2.2x your HP and this two in Video at maxhave 1100 hp
Bruh I run a faith build with lords heal and golden vow, and I got enough endurance( and the great jar talisman) to wear Radahns armor set. My mimic actually does heal himself fairly often and is basically invincible
