Sean, I really truly hope you get this message. I am a veteran who was stopped in the state of Illinois by a Narcotics Team. I was traveling from my hometown of Niagara Falls back to Colorado (I don't even smoke) where I live. Agent Clint Thulen ordered me out of the vehicle. Three of them surrounded me, and I refuse to let them search my vehicle and told them I have a 4th amendment right against illegal searches and seizures. They arrested me stating that I pushed one of the officers, resisted arrest, and was traveling 7 mph over the posted speed limit. I recorded a video of the encounter and They confiscated my phone for evidence. They told judge andreoni of bureau county illinois, the district attorney, Thomas Biddick of bureau county illinois, and the public defender Eric May of Bureau County Illinois that there was never a video. They would not return the memory card to me until after the trial. They gave attorney Eric May a copy of everything that was on my phone, but not the memory card before trial. The district attorney offered me to plea to a misdemeanor and they would sentence me to 48 Hours jail w/time served, a $200 fine with a $90 credit if I just plead guilty to a misdemeanor. I told them to shove it up their ass. They made me travel back from Colorado to Illinois 7 times in 16 months. Each trip costs $600 or more. I lost my job, I lost my relationship, and now I am a homeless veteran because of this. During the trial the three men who arrested me, Clint Thulen, Michael hammen, and Cessna all said while under oath that I pushed one of the officers, I resisted arrest and I was doing 7 mph over the posted speed limit. They also said that there was never any video or recording of the interaction while under oath. A fourth officer, the Information Technology officer for the Illinois State Troopers got on the stand and said that he saw the video, but it was lost during data transfer. That's perjury. I have since recovered the data that they erased and nowhere on the video do I ever make contact with any of them. I was arrested for contempt of cop. The jury found me innocent of aggravated battery, and resisting arrest. However, they found me guilty of 7 mph over the speed limit. The fine was $254 to add insult to injury. I paid them with 5,080 nickels. The trial took place in October 2nd through 4th 2023.
On November 27th and 28th, 2023 I posted a sign in Veterans Park in the town of Princeton, Illinois where the trial took place across the street from the courthouse where this travesty took place. The signs read "perjury is okay with andreoni" the judge, "Clint Thulin lies under oath", and "Michael Hammen deletes video". On the 28th, a man approached my signs and began removing them from the ground where I put them. I then approached him and told him he could not touch my property. Regardless of my wishes he told me I needed his permission to put the signs there. I told him I have a First Amendment right to have these signs. Because of the high winds that day I use tent Stakes to hold the signs down so they didn't blow away. I stepped on one of the strings to prevent him from removing a sign and he is seen on the CCTV video from the courthouse pulling it vigorously and knocking me down. When this happened I stood up and got between him and my signs and told him he is not touching them. He then steps up to me and punches me in the face. In the video, you can see on his right hand an 1980 style metal band type pointy ring. He never denies that he hits me. You can also see my face is now bleeding and he proudly claims that he is the sheriff of this County badge 001. I would tell you his name however, there is an order of protection against me because he is quote, 'afraid of me'. I gave that video along with an interview to special agent David Damron of the Illinois State Police Special investigation unit. During the interview the special agent David Dameron asked me what outcome I would like to see from this. I responded by saying if I were to hit him what would happen to me. He responded by saying, "you know he's in law enforcement, right?" He then collects the sworn statements from the sheriff's deputies who said that I was yelling at the sheriff and submits it to Patrick Murphy of Marshall County Illinois. District attorney Murphy decides to use his discretion and not bring ANY charges against the bureau county sheriff even though you can clearly see that he both knocks me down and strikes me. After I am informed that the district attorney is not going to bring charges I see the sheriff of bureau county at a gas station in Princeton and begin to verbally eviscerate him. I do not threaten him in any way, shape, or form. That very same day he go to the bureau county courthouse in Princeton, Illinois and submits a request for an order of stocking against me. Of course the the judge protects the sheriff who is an elected official. During the hearing I asked the sheriff if he's done a background check on me. He responds that he did. I then ask him, you understand that I have no firearms correct? He said yes. But they still granted him an order of protection.
Just 13 days before the initials traffic stopped by the narcotics team I had just graduated from college with a degree in Veterinary science. I was going to take care of animals for the rest of my life. These men took it away with their lies and will have no repercussions. I have sought out numerous attorneys who have said that I have legitimate cases against all of these men. However, they're not willing to travel the 4 hours to the federal district court in Rock Island, Illinois from Chicago. I am at my Wit's End and I am hoping you could help. I'm tired of living in my vehicle. I'm tired of seeing police getting away with assaulting, harassing, intimidating, kidnapping, extorting, stealing from, and murdering citizens. You're my last hope.. the statute of limitation is up on August 4th 2024. I understand there's a nearly 0% chance anyone will me to get Justice. But I will hold out until August 5th, 2024 that someone will. After that, I will be forced to take justice into my own hands. Remember, I didn't want any of this. I never wanted to harm another human being in my life. But if they're allowed to get away with this with a veteran, how many other people have they done this to in their respective 27, 32, 33, and 36 years in law enforcement? The oath I swore to the Constitution was against all enemies foreign and domestic. These men are domestic enemies to the Constitution and the rights they're in. Because they're allowed to get away with this, I will be giving my life to make sure they can't do it to another citizen.
If it is allowed for police to send thugs to your home and legally steal your shit, it is much harder to separate crooks from police.
Treat gov. And those tasked to enforce rules, like a girlfriend, watch their actions not their words
