The city of Seattle just launched a new, fast rescue team to reach people who get into trouble in the water.
The Seattle Fire Department launched its new rescue watercraft on the shores of Lake Washington, it announced Monday, adding two “customized SeaDoos to its marine response capabilities.”
These two watercraft can get up to 52 miles per hour. At those speeds, Capt. Dietrich Hauge, with Seattle fire, told KOMO News they can speed to the northernmost section of the lake in 11 minutes. It’s just 10 minutes to Kirkland and eight minutes down to Seward Park.

Hurjaa vauhtia. 😮
Nothing better that taxpayers dollars.
How about you enforce the law on land first
They will save quite a few teenagers with these.
Bad color choice – hard to see on the water and blistering hot decks in the sun. Black and red is the new orange and white. Dumb.
11 minutes isn’t a rescue, it’s a recovery. They get toys after refusing to respond at ‘the summer of love’ CHAZ shootings?
I don’t want you “laying anything on me”. Is this bad AI or just somebody trying to sound cool? 👎🏻
