SCP 1124 is a Keter Class anomaly also known as Xenoplague.

SCP-1124 are metallic objects found near research base ILYENA.
The first instances of SCP1124 were recovered from canisters underneath a mountain range.
Instances of SCP-1124 are impervious to heat and pressure. Each is otherwise non-responsive to external stimuli save for physical contact with biological matter, which will cause instances of SCP-1124 to activate.
The entity frequently gnaws and consumes the casing in its containment unit, although the amount of damage taken is acceptable due to the density and thinness of the film used to line the chamber. Further research into containment is deemed necessary as the creature has been shown to grow in minor increments when more material is consumed.

  15. …did they just say they where gone use a flamethrower on "metallic" looking things in "space"?… While wearing spaces suits because there is no "air"… Am i the only one seeing this bs?

    Also, they don't know what it is but instead of taking one to look at. They take butt loads of them along despite it being easy to get more.

    The level of incompetent and lose security protocols on this story are even lower then a standard hospital. And these guys are supposed to experiment and identify the universe most dangerous things? This is like trying to convince you of a story where cops look down the barrel of there service weapons every time they get a jam… Bad bad writing on this one

  18. I don't think these are the eggs of 682, or the eggs of someone else of his species. I think it's a lifeform in the same manner as 682. And he could sense them coming, so he wanted to find what might be a kindred spirit.

  23. Let me explain what I think is going on here. So whenever D.N.A. comes into contact with 1124 the thing comes to life, think about it. Whenever the researcher spat on 1124 it came to life and saliva/spit had DNA inside it also when it came into contact with blood it also came to life. Blood has DNA too!
