Sending a real live crew of humans to Mars and back safely is a pipe dream. Maybe some day, but it is all talk now. It could happen, in thirty years or so but think of the logistics of such a task.

I suspect that Elon Musk and SpaceX plan to take boring equipment to Mars ,and possibly the Moon as well, to bore tunnels to establish bases under the surface to shield early live mission crews from the solar and cosmic radiation ☢️ and to eventually build into a much larger base of operations, which would make it a much easier and more efficient method of building a colony, and establishing additional colonies all connected by a network of tunnels.
Since Tesla has been working on developing robots, they will very likely send those along on the early unmanned missions along with much of the machinery to facilitate the establishment of the first Mars/Moon bases, so that their plans to colonise would be as safe as possible for the first manned missions, that humans may have a base shielded from the radiation ☢️, that they may have a refuge from the hazards of exploration, as much as possible, until better solutions are found. In my opinion, that would be the most sensible way to initiate colonisation within our solar system. It would otherwise be foolish and hazardous to attempt building a colony with living astronauts without their having some sort of refuge from the radiation.
Why does Musk play these games knowing full well that the US has 3 huge antigravity craft capable of going into deep space one called the USSS Hillenkoetter, and we have a base on Mars already. Musk is a fraud and he plays a liars game to perpetuate the NASA lies that are becoming exposed now.

I would love to see a maned mission to mars in my lifetime but i dont think thats going to happen. Ill be 58 in about 1month and i dont see a maned mission going to mars while im still alive. It is very optamistic though but i think before anyone go's to mars ,the way our society is going now we are going to be in a WWIII before anyone heads ot mars. Not to mention the fact that who in their right mind would want to head off to mars a One Way Trip, and they will still need sup0plies from Earth for their entire lives there, and then end up losing their supply line due to a world war? That means a slow and painful death for anyone on Mars ,since that would mean starving to death or ,if still dependent on Oxygen supplies from Earth ,suffocation. Idk which would be worse. The only way i would even consider going is if i knew the world was going to remain peaceful while we are gone. While the governmental system of Islam and other ,terrorist groups still exist there are no for sure things! So as i said i dont think we will see a manned mars trip any time in the next few decades! If im lucky i may be alive in 30yrs! But with society today i dont think for a minute that we are going ot be peaceful for much longer! :>(

I wonder if the ground water is fresh or salt water ?I tell you with so much water under ground that it could cause us some srious problems with the volcanic activity we are having. We have all seen how bad and large eruptions can be when in/on a body of water and how little water can expand the volcanos' blasts! scary!

From pix they got of streaks that were forming then disappearing and forming again, when Mars gets close to the Sun in its orbit, they also figured what type of salt exists in the water that makes it's way to surface then dissipates cuz of low atmosphere…
