Plot twist : it’s not really a rain forest on top of the mountain but a it’s marijuana forest they been growing for the past 10 years !!
The Amazon has barely been explored and was most likely home to millions of people before the spanish and europeans arrived. Its been burnt, exploited etc as the narrator stated, but there are still massive cities and enormous amounts of knowledge to gain from those ruins.
Have no fear, they will rig it up with electronic gizmos, computer stuff and monitors promptly.
