There is is atmosphere on Mars, but it is like a very high altitude on earth. If there wasn't an atmosphere on mars then the helicopter could not have flown.
A civilization known as the IGIGI were the original inhabitants of Mars. Many of them moved to earth as the result of a catastrophic happening that caused Mars to lose it's atmosphere and then the water evaporated as a result. A handful of IGIGI still inhabit Mars underground today.
I have followed the Mars Rover Missions; I have seen Indigenous Reptilian People (two species), Big Foot, small lizards, 4' wide crab, a shaggy haired black mammal with a primate face but walking on all fours, a possible Indigenous Human Soldier manning a look out position standing in a trench under heavy slab of rock covering his body; with a y shape optical instruement. The Mars orbiter took pictures of very large trees, grasses, and shrubs. Picture of Forts with 100 foot walls, very old layed out ancient cities, and newer but very old cities with dooms with large shattered holes, cut doors into cliff formations are frequent. Their were pitures of lemmings from Devon Island in Canada's Arctic Islands.
