  1. German here: trust me, it was a good day for all of us. The recent coalition between social democrats, liberals and the green party was a terrible mess with little meaningful policy/reform actually being made. Yes, AFD are a bunch of lunatics but they wont make it over 18/19% on this upcoming election either.

  2. I‘m german born leaving germany hopefully for good in a couple months because this country is so dumb it‘s painful. They wanna kick out all the syrians but most of them don‘t wanna be here any way because they‘ve been treated like dirt since they got here. Also the head of the german public transport association said they can‘t continue to operate their system if the 2000 syrian‘s who work for them leave because there‘s no one to replace them with. And that‘s one of many industries facing that issue. It‘s so f‘ing stupid. I hope, when the afd seemingly inevitably takes power, they‘ll „govern“ a half empty country with only their idiotic following left and no public transport.

  3. As a German I fear we are going down the exact same path the US. The left and even the worker parties don’t have an answer to the fears of the broader population and the populist rhetoric of the right wing parties (hell, let’s be real, it’s a Nazi party) seems to really hit for a lot of folks these days.
We all laughed at the US when Trump got elected, but Merz and especially the AfD are not much better.

  4. I'm tired of hearing about "pro-Russian" people in Europe. The fact is that we feel that we're being used by the US against their geopolitical enemies and we're paying the price in the form of energy and food inflation, increased military spending and immigration flow, all at the same time. According to them, all right wingers and leftists that recognise this are "pro-Putin" and "pro-Russia" .
Ridiculous. It's the same thing that Dems did with Trump. They didn't speak truthfully to people's pain and questioning, so they left a void for other narratives to fill

  5. Germany: fail to De-nazify anything post ww2
Germany: heading towards the shitter again.

I mean yeah, these are the children and grandchildren of the people who perpetuated the holocaust. They grew up with Nazi grandparents who taught their nazi parents who taught them.

    Lol. Lmao, even.

  6. it would seem the intricacies its German Parliamentary Democracy are still quite a mystery to even the most seasoned observers and analysts outside of Germany..

the result of yesterday's confidence vote, triggered by Chancellor Scholz, very much represen the outcome Scholz had desired..as it forces a general election, which would have occured in September anyway, to take place in February.. but more importantly,, t requires parliament to be dissolved until such time a new one is elected..

this prevents parliament, meaning both the opposition as well as "rogue" members of the remaining government coalition, from implementing policy decisions by forcing a vote in parliament.. specifically the passing of further continued or even expansion, for example in form of the much desired Taurus system, of military aid to Ukraine by the Hawks in the coalition and opposition.. as well as on the related issue of next year's defense budget..

    also as a funny sidenote…

Scholz is the 4th chancellor of Germany's Social Democratic Party (SPD) to be elected into office by the vote of the people.. and also the 4th SPD chancellor to be ousted by parliament using the Confidence Vote process.. and in all four cases the issues leading up to said process were one way or another related to NATO..

so make of that what you will…

  7. I’m so glad I got out of Germany. Lived there for almost 6 years and I’m still stunned by the stuff that comes out of people’s mouths over there. It’s like they’re trying to not make sense on purpose.

  8. It's so interestinh to see how strongly foreign (to Germany) media highlights the relation of right-wing protestors to the police and the counter protests. In German media, the number of right-wing protestors is usually stated by itself without any euphemisms or whatever.

  9. I have to push back on Hasan regarding the deportation thing, even if it was funny how it was translated in the video. As a German I might be able to add that the term deportation is a forceful removal of anyone in general, whereas „Abschiebung“ or remigration is only possible to perform on illegals. That’s a completely different meaning. You cannot just remigrate whoever you want, but only illegals in the country, which is why the afd guy (which I’m not even a fan of) is trying to explain that remigration is the legal instrument within the EU even

  10. I'm in Berlin right now for the holidays with family. There's tension here I'm not used. I just got told by my grandmother me to not wear a specific scarf because it's associated with palestinians. And I'm like what? I have this scarf because it resembles Ricky's shirt on trailer park boys lol

  11. What camp would I be in if I am in Germany. I am pro Russian but I am also pro Immigration. I don't think Western countries should exist. There is zero reason why any country that enslaved Africa and still enslaves Africa should breathe air.

  12. Hey Hasan,

Please try to be a bit more informed and not only watch and showcase such a one sided video. With an audience as big as yours you have an impact on opinions and therefore should try to present a neutral view. This is not what the majority of Germany is about and what is shown by our democratic elections.
