1. Indigo-
As of November 2022, IndiGo flies to a total of 101 destinations including 74 domestic destination within India and 26 international destinations within the extended neighbourhood in Asia.
Indian low-cost giant IndiGo has quickly become a major player in the global aircraft market with a massive fleet and even more orders. With over 294 aircraft in its holdings today and further changes on the cards, the airline has big plans for the future.
2. VISTARA AIRLINES
54 Aircraft /43 Destinations.
Vistara connects 43 destinations in and outside of India, operates over 260 flights a day with a fleet of 54 aircraft including 41 Airbus A320, 5 Boeing 737-800NG, 5 Airbus A321neo and 3 Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner. Vistara has already flown more than 35 million happy customers since starting operations.
3. Air india-
Fleet size-111, 102 destination.
Air India’s narrow-body fleet stands at 70 aircraft. Out of them, 54 are in service and the remaining 16 aircraft will progressively return to service by early 2023. The wide-body fleet stands at 43 aircraft, of which 33 are operational.
4. Spice jet-
101 Aircraft/64 Destinations.
SpiceJet chairman and managing director (CMD) Ajay Singh said the airline has 60 aircraft in operation and will add at least seven new Boeing 737 Max aircraft to its fleet by end of the year.
5. Go First-
59 Aircraft/ 41 Destination.
With one of the youngest fleets in the world made up entirely of 57 state-of-the-art Airbus A320 aircraft, Go First flies to 31 domestic and 10 international destinations with over 200 flights daily.
6. Air India Express-
24 Aircraft/33 Destinations.
Air India Express is a wholly owned subsidiary of Air India. This low cost arm of Air India is headquartered in Kochi, Kerala.
7. AKASA AIR
9 Aircraft /9 Destinations.
Akasa Air, is an Indian low-cost airline based in Mumbai, India. Akasa Air currently operates a majority of its flights from two of its hubs. The two hubs are currently based in Bangalore, and Mumbai. The airline commenced flights on 7 August 2022, launching flights between Mumbai to Ahmedabad.
Akasa Air’s fleet size should be approximately 72 aircraft within 5 years.
8. Air Asia India-
-28 Aircraft./18 Destinations.
The airline was a joint venture between Tata Sons and AirAsia Bhd.
Alliance Air-
Alliance Air operates with a fleet size of 20 (18 ATR 72-600 and two HAL Do-228), according to its website.
