As for the vanishing couple, I wouldn't always just go by the timestamp. If you look at the puddles on the road at the top right and some other subtle things, it looks to be some sort of couple of cuts, even right before they vanish. The only interesting part is the response from the people but even that reaction is off. The guy on the left isn't even looking that direction, there is a random scream from a woman.
