Maybe I’m not entirely as better as I thought….
Roadwarden is a text-based RPG that combines techniques from many kinds of modern narrative games and simple but evocative pixel illustrations. I’ve been hearing a lot of lovely things about this game, and I’m eager to discover the source of all this praise!

nice!
This is a fascinating little world the writer's made and I want to see more.
Ahhh I've been hoping for this since I played the game myself. I'm in for this whole thing.
I enjoy your selection of games, we vibe. I don't have the time or money to play everything and it's nice to have SB play a game I'm interested in while I play a different game, like hanging out with a friend.
Love this positive community, a nice respite from the world's chaos
The music was great, the story is interesting, SB is on point as always, so thankful for this channel
"This is going to be a game with a lot of reading in it"
background noise is how I usually watch the channel, that's preferable!
Roadwarden is really great! I like the atmosphere and the general narrative. By the way, as you like more story-driven games with a lot of text to read I would recommend looking at Suzerain – I am certain you will love it. Basically it's a fictional world set in something similar to Europe during Cold War where you become a new president of a country with plethora of big problems. Obviously it's heavily political but no other game has did it this way: it's not really a managerial game (or paint the map game) but choose-your-own-adventure game where you have serious negotiations, political choices, private choices etc. which obviously impact the future. And the treatment of different political options is pretty nuances. The visuals are actually pretty nice and in-game wiki is amazing tool to read more about certain things. One of my favourite games of last few years to be honest.
This game is great! I'm going to buy it! The music is a bit loud and seems to compete with your voice sometimes, but thanks for playing it on your channel. 😁
OH YES
"I'm going to read all the things, apologies if this isn't your kind of thing -"
I mean, that's more or less the reason I love your series, and I'm pretty sure I can't be the only one. And I got through the one on Sunless Skies, so I'll be fine. :p
True, horses are frikin huge and they also have big teeth. I treated them with sugar cubes and apples and was afraid it'd bite my fingers off.
33:30 There is no Magic because magic exists! 😤🤯🤣
43:34 Yikes, what a way to go. At least it must have been quick and painless. 😮
01:29:45 That looks like a reasonable/harmless enough question, unless it is asked in a weird or aggressive/patronizing tone.
Here it would be like "I am interested as to why/how someone who seems to hail from … ended up all the way here?".
Showing a bit more interest in the person and their motivation, though the other question already answered that to a good degree.
After all in that setting travel is dangerous and a real hardship to undertake thus marking people with different features from the local norm most likely to be outsiders that surely have some interesting stories to go with how they got there.
(And while the game eluded to slavery being a thing it is probably not like the "industrious" slavery that happened during the colonization of the Americas that makes the answer to the question of how did you/your parents end up here to be: on board of a slaver ship.
So it is more like asking a black-skinned person living in Europe during/before those times how/why they ended up there.
Would there be xenophobia mixed in in the questioning? Probably most of the time, but also a good amount of plain curiosity as there were/are not that many people like this around in general and being wary of strangers is a natural instinct for (most) humans.
How the natives of the Americas reacted to the Europeans is probably an ok comparison as they had both peaceful and not-so-peaceful reactions depending on their own culture and the Europeans bearing and greed.)
A palfrey, incidentally, isn't so much a breed as a general category. Basically, horses particularly suited to riding – a smooth gait for a more comfortable ride, docile personalties, smaller build, etc.
I would love to see more
Just a quick question: are you gonna play the rain world downpour DLC?
(I love this kind of games btw, i should try to find a good mobile one^^)
"Horses are scary up close" Me, a horserider-
Seriously though, I've dealt with stubborn horses. Not at all fun getting bucked off, or having your horse refuse a jump, or whatever, but I've never once thought of horses as scary 0_0
Been waiting for you to check this out, one of my favorites in a long time. Pentiment also rules.
