SB Plays Ctrl Alt Ego 01 – Simulated Immersion

Let’s not think too hard about what those DADs are supposed to be shaped like.

Ctrl Alt Ego is a conscious-bouncing immersive sim about sims, immersion, and semantic satiation. It’s probably about some other stuff too; I don’t know really know anything about it yet! Come explore some weird robot nonsense with me!

  1. Prey's immersive sims elements were so bare bones (lighter than the new Deus Ex games) and my experience on the PS4 was such a technical *nightmare*, I really can't relate to people who talk that game up at all. The story was interesting at least.

  2. A 3D game which appears inspired by the old 2D C64 game Paradroid – where you could take over robots via a minigame, which was easier if you had a control score greater than your target. The float and movement does make me feel sick, though. The mechanic is also reminiscent of Watch Dogs hacking.
