Saving An Innocent Man from Death Row | Real Stories True Crime Documentary

In 2014, filmmaker Jessica Villerius met death row inmate, Clinton Young, who had been convicted of a double homicide and became convinced of his innocence. Her documentary ‘Innocent on Death Row’ exposed the weakness of the whole case, proving the shootings could not possibly have taken place the way the prosecutor alleged. These and other new facts, including serious misconduct by the prosecution, led to Young’s execution being halted just 8 days before it was due to take place. He is granted a new trial and freed on given bail to await his new trial.
Clinton was 19 when he was imprisoned. He is now 38. After almost 20 years of solitary confinement, how do you adapt to life outside? In addition, the strict conditions of his bail prevent him from living in the same state as his family and even going to the supermarket across the road from his house. He’s terrified of making the slightest mistake and being sent back to prison. He’s free but not free.

  4. You can't be strong and wrong. 3 day's away from the death penalty. Talk about psychological torture. No amount of money can justify wot the system has put that man through. I always wondered wot happened to him because I've been following his story. It's definitely a happy sad story all at the same time. You can't beat a true story

  7. He seems to be a bit ungrateful… Yet I have to remind myself he was jailed at 18, and lacks the social skills that real life provide. I'm sure that between wanting to appear "hard" in case he does go back, and being locked into a young mindset, it's difficult to express. His childlike smile says more than words…
I'm thankful there's people like them that go above and beyond to help when it seems a horrible injustice has occurred. Thank you all.

  8. Just imagine how many innocent people would have given anything for someone to listen to them, even if they had to wear a bracelet but never got or will get that chance. I do understand him though about how stressful that would be to be watched so closely and to fear getting re-arrested at any time and not even suspect it. It has happened to me, although I have never been in a situation as harsh as Clinton's. I wish I could find out what happened to that Page freak because those are the people that need to get convicted

  9. I just can't understand how some people are ok with taking an inocent life. Do this people have family, kids etc. You work for the Law? But you are braking the law. by lying and doing everything to hurt a person. I am happy for Clinton and his family.

  10. From my own understanding, you need to invest wisely, if you need the good things of life. so far i've made over $470k in raw profits from just q4 of the market from my diversified portfolio strategy and i believe anyone can do it you have the right strategy. mutual funds takes a while but investing wisely is the key for short term. Most of us pay more attention to the easy position in the market to the cost of proper diversification.

  12. someone PLEASE hook him up with a social worker who checks in at least twice a week and helps to transition him away from being institutionalized. the situation is great but precarious. in best case, he is granted to visit the social worker/psychologist away from his apartment in an office. he should be going to see a social worker the entire time he has to wear the ankle bracelet.

  13. I say Mr. Young here will be put back in Prison very soon and executed by 2030. Very commendable of this very nice very beautiful hearted young lady from the U.K. Texas does not play with murderers in their State. Rightfully so they execute killers and in a professional manner. She at least has bought Clinton another decade of life very unselfish of her.

  14. These results of this case and our government elections shows clearly it may not be possible to get a fair trial anywhere here in the states unless you end up in a constitutional state. It's sad that it takes a loudly squeaking wheel to get properly greased. It shouldn't take this with the facts shown.

  15. Under 2 or more witnesses can a person be given The Death Sentence.
A witness can be people or finger prints or DNA. Now we know that people are liars and can lie about a person but in a murder case if 2 or more people lie about a person and that person receives The Death Sentence, the lying witnesses need to know that if they lie and a person is Executed and it's found that the witnesses lied they too will receive The Death Sentence and Executed.
This is God Almighty telling us how to handle murderers and witnesses.
