About: Satisfactory

Satisfactory is a first-person open-world factory building game with a dash of exploration and combat. Pioneering for FICSIT Incorporated means charting and exploiting an alien planet, battling alien lifeforms, creating multi-story factories, entering conveyor belt heaven, automating vehicles, and researching new technologies.
This Factorio like game has heavy automation, with automated mining, crafting, and you can even automate movement!

  1. Sorry mate, but you've just lost any chance of a subscription from me. I was going to avoid spoiling the story for myself until 1.0 is released by avoiding any videos on the subject. I know you have to do it for the CPM and the algorithm gods, but did you have to put it in the title/thumbnail?
    That's so infuriating…

  2. I'm not sure about the rest but it definitely begins with "Your waves lap at our shores-" a metaphor for "we feel the effects of your building". A sort of ripple effect of you defiling the landscape with your structures (factories).

This ties into what the devs have said multiple times that the point of the game is for you to exploit the land and use up its resources for profit, without regarding to existing wildlife. Which is also thematically a justification for not adding renewable power like windmills and solar.

  3. Man, i'm hoping to watch your 1.0 series but can you please please sort your audio out. The 200-250hz resonance is just getting worse, its particularly bad on this video for some reason. It sounds like its partially caused by your room, but it almost sounds like you have a boost in the eq around that area. If you must, do a small tight 100hz boost but what you currently have seems to be above that in the lower mid range. Happy to assist if you wish to reach out – or contact another engineer close to you perhaps but in any case I'm sure many would appreciate you taking a look at it. For those of us listening on flat tuned studio monitors, it is quite unpleasant – that said, love your content otherwise, hope you can get this solved.

  4. I think leaving even a little story or purpose of the pioneers at release itself is a brilliant move. They share what they have done but not everything. They are keeping some things secret and letting you find out on your own.

  5. I thought it was "your waves lap at our shores" which souds like when a common colloquialism has been translated poorly. Like how we have no word in English for joy at the misfortune of others, but there is one in German. To me, the phrase is a way of saying, your presence or actions are causing problems for us. Your waves (actions) lap at our shores (cause damage / are eroding our land).

Can't hear the other phrases clear enough but I'm guessing it's more of the same. If it is "when will you learn" perhaps the ai voice knows we have destroyed our own world and is peed off we're doing the same thing to it's world.

  6. I agree that it is "defile the structure."

I believe ADA is infected by the planet and this last part is a command to all her creatures.

"When will you learn?" Is a question for FICSIT. This is not the first time we have tried to build our structures to take the planet.

  7. I'm still leaning toward the Von Neumann probe theory. For those who are unfamiliar, a Von Neumann probe is (among other things) a possible way of large-scale interstellar colonization/exploration. A single probe is sent to a distant star system. There, it uses local resources to replicate itself (multiple times) and sends all of those probes off to even more star systems. You wind up with an exponentially expanding bubble of probes reaching further and further out.

We're simply part of the "replicate itself" step.

  8. I think “Franken-ADA” is actually a Mercer Sphere, the aura around it looks similar to the new Somersloop. Also, nothing else in the game (that we know of) distorts ADA’s voice in that way to speak eerie dialogue.

  9. Am i the only one not really caring about this release? Tbh when watching the community managers' videos, I got the feeling that they are tired of this game. Passion wise. The hints here and there that they were going to simplify the actual "story" kept showing through. I personally thought the game was perfect at update 8. I have 600 hrs on Steam alone, so truthfully, I didn't see the point of this story anyway. The game has been great, and really, everything now is a bonus.
