Santa Fe and SP ALCO PAs, EMD E-units and F-units

This is one chapter of our great DVD tilted “Diesel Power on the SP”. Everything in this video has vanished from the scene or is in a museum. See the way railroading was long ago when things were far more interesting, and a variety of equipment was in everyday use.

For the entire 1-hour and 30-minute video production visit our website www.cspmovies.com or your favorite hobby dealer.

To quote Railfan & Railroad magazine, “….the quality and depth of the information in the narration is so great. A must for SP fans I would think, as well as students of motive power evolution, use and disposition.”

To quote a review in Model Railroad News, “Smiley, as usual, pulls from unfathomable depths of footage to locate and select delightful pearls of 8 and 16mm footage.”

  1. The business was stolen, by the "rubber tire mafia" and the "public works" con job. Back then, we had next day mail delivery anywhere alongside the SP main line. The top man at the Post Office got stupid and got rid of the mail contracts, stating he felt he shouldn't subsidize the passenger trains, so he help subsidize the highways instead. How's that for having your head up your ass??
