Wow Iga and Donna had to battle not only each other but big giant airplanes flying overhead. Please give them a second trophy each just for that.
You get the sense that Swiatek could really repopularize the sport following Serena's retirement. People seem excited about tennis again after a good few years of inconsistency on the WTA tour. Here's hoping she gets a few rivals to make it even more exciting.
My favorite player is Iga. She has exceptional talent and will only get better and more consistent with time
The 3rd set is what Iga is capable of doing, and as great as she has been this year, I wish she could tap into that more. I believe that when she plays at 90% or more of her capability, she's simply unbeatable.
