Salvation Hour – Do You want to be Heard? (23/08/2022)

I DO NOT OWN THE RIGHTS TO THIS MUSIC

Welcome to International Gospel of Truth Church – UK

Isaiah 59:2 (NKJV) “But your iniquities have separated you from your God; And your sins have hidden His face from you, So that He will not hear.”

Every believer’s heart desire is to be heard whenever they pray. And God wants to hear our prayer, but a glaring disregard for His commandments closes the doors and windows of prayer to God.

Prayer is a channel of communication dedicated to God, but offering our prayers through a window or door which is closed is basically useless. Here are three ways to keep the doors and windows of prayer to God open:

1. Don’t regard iniquity in your heart
The Psalmist wrote in Psalm 55:18 (NKJV), “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear”. More often than not, our prayers are not answered because of unconfessed sin in our lives. For the windows of prayers to God to be kept open we need to avoid iniquity in our hearts .

2. We need to forgive and love
Besides iniquity, unforgiveness can prevent our prayers from being heard. Jesus said, “And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses.”(Mark 11:25, NKJV). Forgive quickly and don’t live in forgiveness if you want to be heard in prayer.

3. Flush doubt out
Prayer is a channel of communication with God, but when we pray with doubt, it renders our prayers ineffective. The Bible says in Hebrews 11:6 (NKJV), “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” As believers, God requires us to live, pray and expect in faith.

Precious one, praying to God through a closed window or door is ineffective; therefore, flush doubt out, don’t regard iniquity in your heart, and live in forgiveness.

Prayer: Heavenly Father, as I pray according to Your will, let my answers manifest speedily, in Jesus’ name, amen.
