Following the charting success of “Espresso” and “Please Please Please”, pop superstar Sabrina Carpenter sits down with Zane Lowe in the studio to discuss her highly anticipated newest studio album, Short n’ Sweet.
Sabrina goes through a few tracks on the album, reflecting on her childhood, friendships, and relationships that sparked starting points for her songwriting process. She references the track “Sharpest Tool”, which touches on unsolved circumstances in a friendship or relationship, and “Espresso”, sparking her humorous side and unique approach to songwriting. Closing the conversation, Sabrina touches on her genuine love for music and shares how her childhood upbringing allowed her to follow that creative passion.

No one could have ironed Zane's shirt before filming? lol.
I feel like it is hard to utilize a sad themes/music, but make it upbeat and pop. I feel like she does a great job of that. It's still pop, exciting, but I love the underlying sad. And usually when people attempt this, it feels a bit cringe to me? Not with Sabrina though
Imagine getting destroying by a 10 year old mixtape
BILLIE MARTIN MENTIONED YESSSS FINALLLYYYYEHFJF
Her album is so bad and boring 😱
zane is so good at pretending he gives a shit about all of this
zane lowe went to the jimmy fallon school of pretending to care about celebrities' "art"
zane was so creepy in this interview lol
us girls can hardly listen to lie to girls. it hurts too bad
i just love her, she's so talented and her 50s inspired aesthetic is so refreshing
she's wise beyond her years.. so glad she's finally getting the recognition she deserves

I wish Zane Lowe would stop interrupting Sabrina to give his two cents about everything!! I listened to this to see what Sabrina's inspiration and interpretation of her songs is – not Zane's philosophical interpretations and stories. It's a nice format that he wants to have a conversation and not just ask questions, but Sabrina should have more talking time than Zane.
This is an excellent interview! He did a great job!
I love Sabrina! she’s a beautiful person
They're waiting for me to say it (espresso) and im like "TEA ✨"
This got to the floor😂
this was the most funniest but intellectual interview. love it.
i’m beyond proud of Sabrina for how far she’s come. i’ve been a stan since girl meets world; i’ve always knew that she would be an amazing star💖💖 she’s one of my main musical inspirations, as to why i released/will be releasing more music in the future; so thank you Sabrina, i love you forever:)💘
she should dj
clap*
U can tell when Zane is genuinely interested in an artist
I don’t think I’ve ever seen Zane so unserious lol
When she said rock on man 🤙 as Zane’s trying to offer her advice 😂😂
“That’s not you espresso 🙂↔️” 😭😭
I cried the hardest listening to the sharpest tool on my plane ride home. We love a good plane cry haha It’s now my favorite song on the album.
I’ve never seen Zayn so comfortable and funny around another guest, i love this duo
This guy truely cares about music and is always so respectful and genuinly interested in the artists and their work.
She has a talking voice like Ariana Grande…
Boring interviewer.
Espresso is actually built off a splice sample jabroni
