S8E03 | Troublemaker Bart Is Up To His Usual Mischief | Monkey Life | Beyond Wildlife

Based in Dorset in the UK, Monkey World is the largest monkey and ape rescue centre on the planet. For nearly three decades, the team has saved countless primates – across 20 countries – from lives of cruelty, abuse, and neglect.

This safe haven is now home to more than 200 monkeys and apes. The dedicated staff never stop in their quest to save animals from being mistreated by owners, ending up in laboratories or being exploited in the entertainment industry.

  2. The staff and filming videos give a real sense of the family units. Something we would never really get to see for all these different primates and monkeys. An inside view of the groups and individual family dynamics. It's always so interesting. Before coming across Monkey World I had no idea just how much they are like humans in the nature of their lives, individual families and their entire societal makeup. We tend to think of them as not as smart as humans because they don't use automotives, cell phones, wear clothing, etc.. But I believe many are just as smart and have no use for all the trappings. In their own worlds in nature, they are brilliant, being able to survive off the land and thrive. Few humans can do that. They deserve to be left alone to live a natural life, all of them. But as anyone who is here watching knows, man is wiping them out with their greed. It's a travesty. Thank you to everyone who makes this possible.

  4. Looking forward to when the staff rescues human children from the areas that they play these planet of the ape games. All those resources spent on violent chimps could easily been spent on people that when they grow up will become doctors and save you when your sick. If your going to rescue an animals just let them go in the wild and save all that extra money on these children who have nobody. These video makes me sick. The only thing monkey world is rescuing is their ego. Save the children

  6. I just love this show, if I ever won the lottery I would so be helping Alison and the team buy more land to make room for more monkeys to be saved. When they don't have enough room for a tiny little marmoset you know they are full to the max. 🙁
