S. Haddad – Excidium (organ solo) Op. 9 (2024)

A turbulent work portraying the destruction and misery of war. Reger and Sorabji’s organ/keyboard works were an influence here.

The piece was played on a digital piano using the Hauptwerk software, St. Anne’s Moseley. This virtual instrument has 30 stops and is both versatile and authentic. The real pipe organ, built in 1907 and modified in 1984, is at St. Anne’s Church in Moseley, Birmingham.
