Ukraine has carried out such a swift counteroffensive against Russia it’s taken even their own forces by surprise.

Ukrainian troops have recaptured huge areas of territory in the east of the country, some reportedly reaching a settlement almost on the border with Russia.

As Russian troops abandon their positions, leaving tanks, ammunition and military hardware behind, Ukrainian flags have been raised in dozens of newly liberated villages and towns.

  2. This reporting and these interviews are hilarious. The Soviet style army ''just can't react…they're like rigid'' Somebody should have told that to the Wehrmacht before the Soviets drove them back into Berlin and in the process destroyed 80% of the entire German army. I actually read a comment by some moron the other day saying emphatically that ''Russians can't fight in the snow.'' Haha hahaha hahahaha! Yeah, that's what Napoleon said when he was running back to France with his tail between his legs.

  4. There are British journalists who work for establishment television outlets like Channel4 ITV and the BBC who also work for NATO. Now I find that funny. What are you doing pretending to be a journalist when you're employed by a military organisation run essentially by the USA?   7. Yes, Russia is taking care of you (Ukraine). With 9 missile strikes in the downtown area and constant daily artillery shelling in Kharkiv. Actions speak louder than word. Sometimes breaking up is hard to do? Time for the Russian soldiers and mercenaries to go back home. Putin needs to sign the final divorce papers and realize there’s no getting back together, demilitarization, decoupling from the West – EU or land for peace deal. Sovereign boundaries are respected and in future generations we can make amends.

  13. Me being ex elite military, some of my buds went there as mercs, they can punch through any lines but the biggest issue is the language barrier, there are so many merc and different countries sometimes they can’t communicate properly

  15. The wrath of the Almighty has come upon the Russians for their savagery in brutalizing innocent civilians and trying to annex an independent Ukraine. Justice will prevail albeit at a cost to the Ukrainians. The gallant and courageous Ukrainian army and its people have the highest respect and regard. The lost lives of the Ukrainians in defending their country from an enemy who thoughts they could bulldoze their way will always be remembered for generations. Putin, we know Russians do not have much belief in God being Communists , but what you have done and failed to achieve is well said in the Bible. No matter how strong you are but when you do something which is not justifiable you have to face the repercussions Putin.

    Let Putin cut off the gas and cut his own throat! We will use more blankets, we will wear more jumpers … we will sleep in one room for warmth. We will find renewed unity in our collective struggle, just like we did in WWII.

    Our grandparents proved that we can bear hardship – for your struggle is our struggle.

    And none of us are free till all of us are free!

    So, fight onwards, brave Ukraine! Let a million sunflowers grow where Russian soldiers fall. And let us never forget that we fight, not because we hate those in front of us, but because we love those behind us.

I am a black from Nigeria I saw Ukrainians very racist towards black people ( of course its not all of Ukriane) yet my heart goes out for them I pray they win this war, its an unjust war I love the support from USA and the UK(my adopted nation) and all of Europe . I salute the Ukrainian army I pray that Russians get a good new leadership and not the dictator that is afflicted with very juvenile thought process
