Kings and Generals animated historical documentary series on Modern Warfare continues with the aftermath of the first phase of the Russian Invasion of Ukraine in 2022 (https://youtu.be/yBZPE9o2gHU). Previously we talked about the build-up to the new stage of the Russo-Ukrainian War, how Putin’s unprovoked invasion of Ukraine continued, and covered events between February 24th and April 7th, as we saw how Ukraine managed to win the first phase of the war. This set up the second phase of the war – battle of Donbas. In the previous video we covered the events of April of 2022 (https://youtu.be/K2N_fHKrWIg) including the sinking of the rocket cruiser Moskva – https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QvB2CPpdTMY, and how the conflict turned into the war of attrition in May (https://youtu.be/D-93q4GMFT0). In this video we will cover the events of June, which became the best month for the Russian offensive. We will talk how the Ukrainian front in Zolote-Hirske area crumbled and how Russia managed to push the Ukrainians out of Severedonetsk and Lysychansk. This video will also discuss the Ukrainian counter-offensive in Kherson and Zaporizhzhia, and the introduction the HIMARS MLRS and its immediate impact on the conflict due to the destruction of the Russian supply depots.

  2. Hello. I am from Eastern Ukraine. I am very glad to see a video about your country on your channel. However, I would like you to make an issue dedicated to our events in 2014. The fact is that I understand that, largely due to Russian propaganda, Europeans, Americans and the Western world in general do not know that all this has been happening for a long time. It's just that on February 24, the Russians decided to stop playing, because they decided that they would be able to get an easy victory in view of our impotent president. It's funny that that night I finished reading the first volume of Karl Mannerheim's memoirs. And I believe that if a small country in the north was able to defend itself from the USSR, which at that time was helped by America (Land Lease), then my state will be able to resist.

And it is not Zelenskyi who motivates Ukrainians to fight for their home, to help each other. 8 years without Russian-appointed "tsars" in the positions of presidents gave their results. We saw our country and saw that it is beautiful. We started to remember our language again, to remember our culture, and realized that they are beautiful.

It just takes time for people to change their country, to understand their rights. 200 years under the Russian Empire. Then almost 100 years under the Soviet Union. My grandmother survived the Holodomor, was in Germany, returned on foot from Czechoslovakia to Kyiv, where her home was. Because just as for Jews Israel is the promised land, so for Ukrainians Ukraine is home, roots, everything native.

I was 11 years old when Russian terrorists took over my city in 2014. Therefore, I ask you to make a video about the events of 2014. Explain that the Revolution of Dignity 2013 is not a Nazi revolution, but the will of the people. People. And we wanted change.

Crimea was occupied. And Donetsk and Luhansk were captured by russian terrorists, and when ours began to crowd them, russia brought in its troops.

There is no Donbas Nation. I am from Donbass. And I am Ukrainian. And always was.

Thanks to the USA, Canada, England and all NATO countries, especially Poland, for their support. Poland and the Baltic States. Because we do not deserve such good neighbors, and the worst thing is that they have always been like that and we somehow did not appreciate it.

Almost all my friends are now in EU countries, and I thank you for the fact that Ukrainians are so well received there. As the 5th president of our country says:

"We need more, but we are very grateful for what we have"

    God save democracy and freedom💙💛
Ukraine is not russia, not serbia

  3. Don't you always believe anything told by western media all trying to say negative about Russia and Middle Eastern countries, ask me because i know I'm from iraq and have seen what western media said about iraq while everything was lies.

  4. I'm curious how Ukraines newfound abillity to Attack/Sabotage Russian bases and depots in occupied Crimea will impact the the war in the future, since this has been described as a pretty significant development.

Might this have been sabotage, or HIMAR's?

  5. In order to objectively assess the civil war, it is necessary to study the history since 1922.Ukraine did not comply with the Minsk Agreement, for 8 years it fired at the LNR and DNR.Over the course of 8 years, 14 thousand civilians, including 70 children, have been killed. Why was the Western press silent about this?

  6. I continue to be impressed by just how well the Ukrainian military is holding out against what ought to be a vastly superior force in manpower and resources. I am anxious to see how much longer they can do so, however.

  7. Interesting. At this point it should be me mentioned – Russia send about 130.000 (at the beginning) up to 200.000 (at now) Soldiers in to the front.
Ukraine have mobilisied at now at least 1.000.000 people under Arms, Soldiers (regular Army and "Homeland Security/Land defence forces).
Ukraine have an huge Problem – corruption and incompetency in own ranks.

  8. Thank you for what appears to be a balanced account. There are far too many jingoistic sites, particularly on the Ukrainian side, which create a false impression of the progress of the war. I would add that I do support Ukraine in the defence of its territory.
